Forcing you to listen to our new favorite releases is just second nature at this point. Here are five new releases that we’d recommend you add to any new playlist you find yourself creating this summer. We know it’s all we’ve been doing with so many new releases!
‘Look At You’ By Blood Orange
No, not the blood orange that you eat, but rather the Blood Orange that you listen to. If this name is new to you, then lock in honeybees, because we’re about to change your life. If you’re here and tune into THP articles often, that means you appreciate an artist who can truly showcase their unique artistry at a high level. For us, that’s Devonté Hynes, aka Blood Orange. He’s one of those artists whose true colors shine when they perform live. Blood Orange just gave us a showstopping performance at Cherry Lane Theatre.

‘Born To Lose’ By Bea Miller
Bea Miller is back with ‘Born To Lose!’ We really do feel like 2026 is Bea’s year to shine in the spotlight again. Although we’ve never left her side, we know a lot of new listeners are tuning in to her new music. That scratchy record-player sound in the intro caught our attention immediately and signals us to a new sound that Bea is experimenting with this summer. We’re so tuned in!
“‘born to lose’ is me making fun of myself before anyone else gets the chance. I’ve had successes that I’m incredibly grateful for, but I’ve also spent years wondering what you’re supposed to do after you experience something like that so young. I didn’t want to pretend that part of my life never happened. I wanted to write about it because I think it’s funny, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s true.”

‘Great Expectation’ By Sienna Spiro
The day has come. Sienna Spiro’s debut album is here! This day has truly been so anticipated all year long, and now that the album is all ours, we can’t stop listening to it. A standout track, ‘Great Expectation,’ has likely caught your ear as well. It’s only been out for a few days, but it seems the entire internet knows every word.
“‘Great Expectation’ is about a time when I was living in New York for a little while and talking to someone who kept saying they were gonna come see me. Every morning, I’d walk down the stairs of the apartment building and, for a second, genuinely believe he’d be outside waiting. Then I’d spend the next five minutes walking down the street imagining what I’d say, what it would feel like, what would happen if they were really there. He never came. The song became less about that person, and more about expectation itself.”

‘Just Like You’ By Jensen McRae
This song randomly came on our radar recently, and by today, we’ve probably streamed it over 30 times. Jensen McRae is just that good! ‘Just Like You’ comes at the perfect time, when we’ve been reintroduced to Jensen, and her name is making its rounds online like wildfire. Her time to reach superstardom is coming soon, and this song is just the beginning of the craze. Are you a Jensen McRae fan?
“There were so many songs I wrote after writing but before we finished recording the second album that still felt like they lived in this world–very much coming to terms with the reality that no one was going to save me from myself, and that healing is something I would ultimately have to do on my own.”
Jensen McRae stated in a press release
