Vulnerability
We can’t deny that we love Becky Hill because she gives us the perfect mix of high-energy dance beats and vulnerable lyrics. Not many artists can have us doing twirls in our bedroom while simultaneously crying our eyes out.
“When I thought about what had come before now, I realized I was missing a couple of things: specifically, the element of euphoria but also, I wanted to create a much more mature, sophisticated level of dance music in this album. It was an incredibly direct and quick album to write because for the first time, I knew exactly what I wanted to say. I’m really proud of this album and of what it says and what it stands for.”
I think we can definitely agree that this is a more mature sound from the singer and one that we would love to hear from her again in the future. As we grow up, we love to hear that our favorite artists are growing with us, giving us what we need in every stage of our lives. We can confidently say that we hear Becky finding her true sound within each of these 15 records.
Upon a first listen, our favorites are ‘Right Here’ and ‘Swim.’ Our ears are swimming in pure pleasure, so turn up the volume and tune in, honey bees! 🐝🎧
