On July 10th, Finn Wolfhard released his sophomore album, Fire From The Hip! Coming just over a year after his debut, the album has been eagerly awaited by fans. Since then, his first album, Happy Birthday, has gained over 64 million streams to date, and in 2025, he completed a sold-out US tour. He even ended the year with a sold-out solo show in London. With the conclusion of Stranger Things, Wolfhard has had more time to focus on his music and explore life as a musician.
“I feel like I’m constantly coming of age and going through changes,” Wolfhard shares. “When I do a new record I feel like I’ve grown a little since the last one, so to me every new record is a little reintroduction.”
Fire From The Hip Tells A Story
Wolfhard draws inspiration from classic rock while still maintaining his usual sound. This album explores his duality as a person and a character, reflecting his creative process using his personal experiences as the foundation. Joined by a tight-knit group of collaborators, you can tell it made the storytelling more meaningful with his friends by his side, helping him throughout the process. This album broadens Wolfhard’s songwriting skills while staying true to his style. Throughout the album, he reflects on the changes in life and how the experiences shaped him. This record proves that Wolfhard is a multifaceted artist who has talent that knows no bounds.
“I made this album with such an amazing and talented group of friends. I’m excited for people to hear the record, and hopefully how much our energy and enthusiasm bleeds through track by track.” says Wolfhard.

Finn Wolfhard continues to surprise us with every move he makes. Wolfhard has had a stacked year already… He’s hosted Saturday Night Live, and he attended the MET Gala for the first time! He’s on the lineup of some major festivals for later this year, including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Austin City Limits. We can’t wait to see how this year unfolds for him!
Our Favorite Tracks:
‘Crater’ holds down the rock sound Wolfhard is known for. It’s fun, it’s catchy, and it’s reminiscent of his first album’s sound.
‘Maggie’ has a bit of a folky vibe going on, and we love it! It’s a song about optimism despite changes. It’s a lighthearted song you can ease into.
‘Nice To Meet You Again’ feels like it should be in a coming-of-age movie. With a gentle guitar strum and a soft melody, it feels like a warm summer evening.
