At Ryan Beatty’s show in San Francisco, there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. After the release of his fourth studio album, Sweet Fortune, Ryan Beatty hit the road to sing the new songs. The third night of the Arms Over Armor Tour took place in San Francisco, CA, at The Masonic. Fans were seen lining up outside the venue as early as 12:00 p.m. (we love the dedication!), and that line grew longer and longer as the afternoon went on. By the time doors opened at 7:00 p.m., everyone was overly giddy and ready for the night to begin. What would happen on that stage for the next hour and a half would be nothing short of heavenly and truly life-changing for fans. Here’s how our night at Ryan Beatty’s Arms Over Amor Tour went!

The Stage & The Band
Walking into the venue with our ticket in hand, GA pit wristband on, and excitement bubbling from head to toe was the best feeling ever. Running to the barricade never gets old, especially when we know we’re about to see Ryan Beatty perform live. Here in the hive, we’ve been listening to Ryan’s music for many years now, but this was our first time seeing his live show. Our expectations were set pretty high, and they were met.
The stage offered a comprehensive view of everyone on it—Ryan and all the instruments behind him. One of the key components of what made this live show so great was Ryan’s band. From the drums to the piano and a little bit of everything in between, the band really stole the show. Layered on top of Ryan’s hauntingly beautiful vocals and lyrics, the live instruments added a component to the show that you simply can’t enjoy the same way when streaming Sweet Fortune on your phone. How fortunate were we!
If you’re a Ryan Beatty fan, then you may know that he tended to stay in one place on the stage when performing in the past. This time around, Ryan gave us a completely different show. “I usually would just sit in a chair the whole time,” Ryan explained over the microphone. Now, he’s found a groove and has become a lot more interactive with the crowd and with himself. With a screaming crowd and the energy high, Ryan opened his set with ‘Secret Language’ and continued to run around the stage all night with a huge smile on his face. We were smiling (and crying) right along with him!
The Arms Over Armor Tour Setlist
Like we said, you might want to bring a pack of tissues to this show. Any long-time Ryan Beatty fan knows that his songwriting just pulls at the heart like none other. On this tour, expect to hear some new tracks from Sweet Fortune along with old songs for OG fans and fan favorites off of Calico. Here’s every song we heard during The Arms Over Armor Tour:
- ‘Secret Language’
- ‘Cinnamon Bread’
- ‘White Lightning’
- ‘Bright Red’
- ‘Sweet Fortune’
- ‘Summer of Roses’ (Willie Nelson cover)
- ‘Too Many Ways’
- ‘Delancey’
- ‘Ribbons’
- ‘Casino’
- ‘Virtuoso’
- ‘Annie, Anything’
- ‘Andromeda’
- ‘White Teeth’
- ‘Phantom’
- ‘Dust’
- ‘Bruises Off The Peach’
- ‘Fleur De Lis’
Starting the show with ‘Secret Language’ and ending the show with ‘Fleur De Lis’ broke us in two. We never wanted the night to end! We also have to shout out the beautiful vocal moments that happened during ‘Annie, Anything,’ ‘Delancey,’ and ‘Dust.’ From top to bottom, it was a gorgeous show!
Ryan Proved He Is A ‘Virtuoso’
Ryan Beatty may have written a song titled ‘Virtuoso’ about someone else in his life, but we can definitely argue that the word is the perfect adjective to describe him. Our key takeaway from the Arms Over Amor Tour: Ryan Beatty is an exceptional talent who, from today on, should not go unnoticed in the music industry. He has writing credits on award-winning albums and songs (cue Cowboy Carter‘s ‘Bodyguard’), but his solo music deserves a shiny gold trophy too. We’ll stop everything to be the ones to give it to him.
See Ryan Live On Tour!
Trust us when we say you need to attend the Arms Over Armor Tour—get tickets to see Ryan Beatty live here! Even if you’re walking into the show as a new listener, you will leave with more than a pocketful of appreciation for Ryan as a singer, songwriter, and performer. You’ll walk out humming the tune to ‘Secret Language’ and still feeling the deep connection of ‘Ribbons.’ Hopefully we’ve done our job and convinced you to see Ryan live, or at the very least, to go stream Sweet Fortune and his other past albums.
