Halloween is here, honeybees! We’re counting down the days, buying bucketloads of candy, and most importantly, planning our costumes. This year, we’re taking a page from Zara Larsson‘s beauty book and adding a little Halloween spoof to it. Want to bring a little main pop girl energy into your Halloween costume this year? Try these four Zara Larsson-inspired looks!
1. Eat Candy As Zara Herself!
Starting off with the simple route, let’s make it easy and dress up as Zara Larsson herself. Zara has about two dozen iconic stage outfits and unique makeup looks (thank you, Sophia Sinot) that you could pull inspo from, but here are our favorites.
Zara’s Lollapalooza Look: This look could be done with the clothes already sitting in your closet. Grab a pair of mini denim shorts and DIY a striped shirt (extra points if it’s pastel colors). Add a touch or two of body glitter, curl your hair, and finish it off with a simple pink eyeshadow look. Done!
The Straight-From-Her-Book Zara Look: If you don’t want to mirror an exact outfit that Zara has worn in the past…make it your own! Here’s what you’ll need to perfect a Zara Larsson-inspired Halloween costume – a flower hair clip, pastel-colored eye makeup, blush and a blinding highlighter, a yellow dress, and a bedazzled candy bag. This costume is perfect for anyone who wants to add a little personal touch. Choose any pastel colors as your base and build from there. We can’t wait to see what you decide to do!
2. Terrorize The Neighborhood As A Pod Of Dolphins
This is for all the friend groups out there! Let’s make Halloween a little camp this year, but of course, with that Zara Larsson flair. If you have three or more people in a group for Halloween this year, be a pod of dolphins and run around the neighborhood blasting ‘Symphony’ from a speaker. Trust us, the neighbors will love it and will probably give you extra candy. What’s more Zara Larsson-coded than glittering dolphins?
3. Uh Oh! Your Eurosummer Vacation Went Wrong…
For Halloween fanatics who love adding a little fake blood to their yearly costumes, a gory, bloody Eurosummer is just what you need. Maybe you took a tumble inside the Roman Colosseum, or you encountered the ghost of a Greek philosopher seeking his revenge on a tourist. Regardless of the incident, you returned from your Eurosummer vacation covered in sticky blood. Dress up as an American tourist, or even as Zara Larsson herself, but don’t forget your passport and a tube of fake blood!
4. Going ‘Stateside’ With Your Bestie
Planning on a duo costume this year? Like you and your bestie, Zara Larsson has dozens of pop girlie friends who deserve a Halloween spotlight too. Pick one aesthetic and let your bestie pick the other. Either pastel colors with tons of sparkle (for Zara) or reds, blues, whites, and blacks with an all-plaid design (for PinkPantheress). As you’re walking around trick-or-treating, blast the ‘Stateside’ remix and strut down the road hand in hand. That’s your ego boost!
