Any year we get anything from Niall, even just an Instagram dump, is an amazing year! However, Niall has rewarded us for being such great fans and absolutely spoiled us this year. We got lots of new music, a festival tour, a tour announcement, and more Coach Niall on The Voice! We know there’s bound to be more in store for us in 2024 as we look forward to The Show: Live On Tour, but right now, let’s take a moment to look back at 2023 with Niall.
The Show Singles
‘Heaven’ is the song that started this new era and we think it was the perfect choice! It has the same fun and catchy elements of Niall’s previous singles while also introducing us to the vibe of The Show! We had a little bit of a ‘Meltdown’ after our first listen, but can you blame us? Speaking of ‘Meltdown,’ that was the second single from the album and we adore it. The track touches on mental health in a very poetic way as it’s actually meant to simulate the chaos a ‘Meltdown’ provides. Last but certainly not least, Niall gave us ‘The Show,’ which is one of our favorites! It’s a beautiful song with some of his saddest and most relatable lyrics about the ups and downs of life.
Summer Festival Tour
For the first time in years, Niall hit the stage once again! He played 12 festivals, starting with Boston Calling. This was such a special show as it marked the first of many festivals for him. If you were in attendance, whether that be in-person or via someone’s livestream, you also got to be one of the first to hear some of the new tracks from The Show.
The Show: Live On Tour Announcement
If a festival set wasn’t enough for you, Niall also announced his new tour! He’ll be on the road starting on February 21st and all the way to July 31st. We have so many hopes for the setlist and we know he won’t disappoint us. If you don’t already have tickets for a show, you can buy them here.
The Show Release
Is it dramatic to say that this was the best day of our lives? The Show is such an incredible album from start to finish. We have some serious emotional whiplash from dancing to ‘On A Night Like Tonight’ and then sobbing to ‘Science.’ But when it comes to Niall Horan, we are okay with however he makes us feel. When he gives us music like The Show, how could we not be?
Niall Returns To The Voice
Niall may have won the last season with Gina Miles, but we’re the real winners because he came back for another season! Niall on The Voice has quickly become one of our favorite things and we look forward to every episode. Of course, we were hoping for another win for him this year, but we’ll be #TeamNiall either way.
The Show: The Encore Release
If you thought The Show couldn’t get any better, Niall proved you wrong! This version of the album includes nine additional tracks, including one of our favorite collaborations ever: ‘You Could Start A Cult (Encore Version)’ with Lizzy Mcalpine. Niall also included his cover of ‘Something In The Orange (Live From Spotify Studios),’ which is stunning and perfect, just like him.
