We’ve been listening to Korean non-binary alt-pop artist, Babebee for quite a while now. They just released their new EP, whatislove2u? We found parallels between Babebee’s lyrics and tarot cards. Not a tarot reader? No problem. You don’t have to be one to read on.

The three of swords is a pretty straightforward card. The three swords in the heart represent heartbreak. The clouds and rain are a reminder that it’s temporary. But it doesn’t mean the pain isn’t any less real.

The Hermit is all about introspection. Even though it hurts, it’s important to take time to truly reflect on a situation. We love how Babebee included Korean lyrics, which are crucial to the song. 나도 날 모르겠어 translates to “I don’t know me, either” and 사랑은 나 몰라 translates to “I don’t know love.”
‘HAPPY ENDING’ — The Star
I’ve moved on; No happy ending. But was it worth it in the end?

The Major Arcana card, The Star perfectly encapsulates this song. It’s all about healing from past grief and that’s exactly what this card represents. The seven stars shine brightly, just like the hope of what the future is to bring.
