‘Come With Us’ To Listen To Up And Coming Korean-American Artist, Babebee

babebee

We at The Honey POP love keeping you in the loop with rising artists. With that being said, we’re so stoked to tell you about this new artist. Korean-American Babebee is a non-binary alt-pop artist that you’ll fall in love with immediately. They recently signed to one of our favorite labels, Epitaph Records and released a new song! Babebee’s ‘Come With Me’ is 100% going to be on repeat. They are definitely an AAPI Artist you need to add to your playlists.

“It’s like a coming-of-age story, reflecting on my childhood. Through this song, I’m expressing the importance of unconditional love—something that I once experienced like trauma in my childhood which is now redefined as healing and growing.

Babebee

Babebee’s new song resonates with us on a personal level and we think it’ll be the same for you. We absolutely love how the song starts off as light with dream pop vibes because who doesn’t love that genre? However, it could symbolize being unsure of yourself and still dealing with trauma. But as the song progresses, it truly puts the alt in alt-pop. Not only do we vibe with it sonically, but we love what we think it represents: healing and coming of age since towards the end, it sonically gets heavier. This could be a metaphor for them finally coming into their-self. You can watch the music video below.

Lyrics We Love

“(sticks and stones that i’ve outgrown,
my broken bones i’ve made my own)”

If you need to experience this song live (of course, you do) they’re going on tour! It kicks off in Vancouver, Canada on September 14th and wraps up in Nashville, TN on October 11th.
