On February 25, 2020 Rex Orange County brought his Pony tour to Stubb’s in Austin, TX for the second of two sold-out shows. For his first-ever Texas shows, fans lined up around the block hours before he showed up.
His set was nothing short of spectacular. He displayed complete confidence in his performance but remained humbled throughout, visibly at a loss for words when the crowd sang back every line of every song. He bounced back and forth from his piano to the audience, interacting with everyone he could.
For someone who seemed to pop up overnight, Rex Orange County had what felt like everyone in Austin wrapped around his finger. And you couldn’t help but to fall in love with his charm.
At only 21 years old, he has created a must-see live show, hopefully we’ll see more shows from him later this year.
