Meet On The Rise Artist Christee Palace

Newest single?

What Have You Done to Me

Are you heading out on tour soon?

No tour set up as of now given the current state.. but hopefully working on a virtual tour soon. 🙂

What are your main musical influences?

Halsey, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Bea Miller, Upsahl, Lights… any pop-rockers, really. 🙂

What is the funniest thing to have ever happened to you on tour?

Well, I’m not sure if many would find this FUNNY… (although it is a little now), but when I was opening for Walk Off the Earth at the Colosseum in Windsor, my mic just completely shut off. I wasn’t able to do anything about it and had to continue singing and dancing around to try and keep the show going until I was brought another mic on stage… IMAGINE? In the moment it wasn’t so funny haha

What do you call your fans?

This is still being determined!! You’ll have to help me out on that one. I do call them “beauties” a lot of the time though.

We are The Honey POP so we love all things sweet! What’s the sweetest moment of your career been so far?

As much as I’ve had career highlights that gave me a taste of my true dream, I think to date, the most precious moment to me was walking off a stage in Windsor after singing in front of 8,000 people, hugging my dad and crying, telling him that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’ll never forget it, and to this day I think of that moment any time I doubt myself.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

SOUR CANDY. Forever.

Sum your life up in the context of one tweet

I’m a mess, hell yes, got holes in my dress, but they wonder about me. My nails are chipped, my blue hair in the wind, running crazy and free… Imperfectly me.

If you could live in any era for music for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?

The 2000’s. I loved the pop-rock era that was brought on by Pink, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff… I miss that kind of music that truly married rock and pop perfectly. I think pop music has changed so much (although I do love it). The production of those songs is just not something you hear anymore. I miss that FULL band, kick ass kind of sound.

When is it out? Where can we stream it?

The single was released on January 15th, and the music video premiered January 29th! 🙂 It is available on all music platforms, and the music video is on YouTube.

Tell Us About Your Musical Journey

I’m Christee Palace, a pop singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. I have been pursuing music professionally for about 5 years now. I am originally from Windsor Ontario, and moved to Toronto about 2 years ago to pursue my career at a greater scale. I come from a super musical family back home– all my family members play instruments and sing, and my extended family are all musical as well. It was pretty cool growing up in that kind of environment. I think I always knew I would somehow go after this dream of mine. 🙂 I’ve had some pretty awesome experiences to date.. one of my favourites being opening up for Walk Off the Earth. It was life changing for me.

What food would we be horrified to learn you like?

LOL– I’m huge health nut, but believe it or not, TACO BELL is my favourite fast food place. Maybe you agree with me though… I’ve heard conflicting opinions…

What are 3 songs on your playlist that you are loving lately?

Drivers License – Olivia Rodrigo, Lonely & Pathetic – Lolo, People I Don’t Like – Upsahl.

Lauren Dejey

What is your go-to comfort TV show?

FRIENDS. Also forever.

Who is on the line-up of your dream festival?

Halsey, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone.. I could go on for years.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve been given that you’d like to pass onto others?

Don’t compare yourself to ANYone else. Everyone is different, and no one can offer what you offer. That is powerful.

What does a typical day in the studio look like for you?

Lots of coffee, singing, laughing, and vibing.

What’s your most necessary tour item?

Chapstick. Although I think that’s a necessary life item for me.. hahaha
