The upbeat, infectious single is brimming with feeling and good vibes. The synth sounds make for shimmery production that radiates anthemic energy.

“We are more privy to hear stories about abusive and toxic relationships so I wanted to write a song that explored the other end of the spectrum.

Chris Cosby of Heartracer

The band approached this song as their answer to music about toxic relationships, instead choosing to highlight the bright side of the spectrum.

“‘I could almost see you through the darkness / you don’t have to close your eyes now / I can feel you breathing.‘ In this line I’m referring to the sacrificial elements of a relationship that go beyond self-gratification. Sometimes that kind of love is powerful enough to stop a downward spiral, to halt a fall, to catch them right at the edge,” Cosby said.

The band’s previous single, ‘TXT ME BACK,’ was released a few months ago and captures the band in their first new era since their 2013 album. ‘Edge of My Heart’ follows ‘TXT ME BACK’ in introducing their upcoming album The Feel.

If you love catchy, joyful pop that is reminiscent of bands like Aha or Tears for Fears, you’re going to love what Heartracer is doing, so check out ‘Edge of My Heart’ now!
