We Are Putting T-Pop On Your Radar — Solo Edition

Whether your playlist is already filled with K-Pop, J-Pop, and C-Pop, or you still haven’t stepped into the Asian music market… We are here to put T-Pop on your radar with some more or less recent releases from our latest favorites of The Land of Smiles. In this one, we will introduce you to some solo artists from Thailand. But don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging even if you are looking for some new groups to discover!

For The Female Solo Stans

Pam Anshisa

Are you also on ManifestationTok, getting all the info about the different angel numbers and the correct frequencies to make your wishes come true? Oh yeah, us neither; what? 👀 Okay, instead of denying it, let’s just embrace it. We do get pretty excited when we spot 11:11 on the clock. And it seems like we are not alone. Pam Anshisa’s latest release, ‘11:11,’ is exactly what it appears to be, an articulation of hope that the stars will listen to her wishes. The singer also partook in writing and composing the song, making it a pretty personal request to the universe. And its catchy pop and R&B rhythm will make it a pleasant listen and a great transition for you into T-Pop. 😏

Fyeqoodgurl

Fyeqoodgurl is a former member of the Thai girl group BNK48. After going solo, she started her own YouTube channel, where her cover videos caught our eyes (or ‘Attention’ if you’d like, because you guessed it: she recently posted some NewJeans tracks you might want to check out. 👀) Her second digital single as a solo artist was released earlier in September. She composed and co-produced ‘ใช่เธอหรือเปล่า (Afraid)’ herself. The sentimental, mid-tempo R&B track lets her soulful vocals shine and tells us her story of being “afraid” of falling in love again. But what if someone comes into your life who makes you want to come out of hiding, gradually breaking down your walls?

For The Male Solo Stans

Billkin

We had our eyes on Billkin as an actor starting from his first supporting roles, but in the past two years, he also conquered our hearts as a singer. The song below, ‘ชอบตัวเองตอนอยู่กับเธอ,’ is his third digital single that was released this summer. The title translates to “I like myself when I’m with you,” so you bet it’s filled with all the warmth and romance you can imagine. His soothing vocals are great for a soul track like this one, and his visuals are also a perfect fit for any nostalgic concept with some golden aesthetic setting. His latest song from earlier this month also fits our imaginary Billkin checklist, so make sure to give that a watch and listen as well HERE

ISBANKY

We will definitely talk about our general Thai BL OST obsession in a separate article. But first, ‘Dancing With The Devil’ is a great example that Thai soundtracks very often stand strong enough on their own, too. The theme song for Big Dragon The Series (where ISBANKY is also playing one of the main characters) danced its way up to the top of our most recent playlists. It’s an excellent bop, but when you start paying attention to the lyrics… it’ll also get you thinking. And potentially ‘Dancing With The Devil’ inside you, but oh well, we have our dancing shoes on so bring it on. 💁‍♀️💃 Also, when we tell you you need to check out the music video, we mean you NEED to ⬇️
