GAYLE has blessed us yet again with her new EP, a study of the human experience volume two and a half! This jaw-dropping collection features alternate versions of the songs we couldn’t get enough of from a study of the human experience volume one & two.
The project opens with ‘indieedgycoolkid (prelude)’ which features a spokn intro from GAYLE herself. GAYLE is asking us the timeless question of how many different versions of one song can one artist do? In this case, we will happily take more if she has them, because this collection slaps.
This collection also features an earth-shattering rendition of one of our all-time favs, ‘kiddie pool (strings).’ This one has had us sitting on our floors simply staring and reflecting while it plays on a loop in the background. A song all about wanting to dive headfirst into a relationship because you are already falling in love, but not wanting to be the only one that deep in it. So, truly just begging the other person to fall as hard as you are and see it for what it is, love.
Where Is GAYLE’s PhD?
With success after success, GAYLE has cemented herself in our playlists, newsfeeds, and most definitely our hearts. Then we heard GAYLE’s opening up for Taylor Swift on 15 dates of The Eras Tour and we lost our minds, to say the least! And if somehow that isn’t enough for you, how about her GRAMMY-nominated track ‘abcedfu,’ which has smashed records everywhere?
