Annika Rose has found the perfect recipe for making absolute pop music perfection. Mix that with her ability to transpose our racing thoughts into bangers, and you get her newest single, ‘In My Head.’ We haven’t been able to get this song out of our heads since we first got our hands on it. Although, you’re about to be in the same boat.
‘In My Head’ touches on all of the impulsive, outlandish, and hilarious thoughts that run through your mind on a daily basis. It’s about detaching yourself from the narratives that you bring to life inside your mind and channeling yourself back into the present moment. The arrival of this new favorite track of ours is right after she dropped another new favorite song of ours, ‘Bruises.’ We could go on for days about that one too, but to save time, let’s summarize it by saying it slaps.
“…Our mind can be more dangerous than the outside world; dictating your belief system about yourself & the world and persuading you to believe scenarios that are far from reality. ‘In My Head’ was a response to the recognition of how important it is to not identify with each and every thought that infiltrates your brain, and to remind yourself of who you know you are at your core.”

Basically, if Annika has shown us that she’s anything in this life, it’s talented and driven af. Starting your career in your teens is one thing, sure. Now add on a pandemic, personal life insanity, accidents, and more, and then you’re looking at Annika Rose herself. Hence why every release, she proves that she can and will try new things and absolutely body it every time.
What’s your favorite line from ‘In My Head’? Ours has to be, “I keep all my ghosts so close to me, like I do with all my enemies, just so I can have some company, in my head.” Let us know your pick in the comments below!
