Binge-Worthy Buzz: We Are Coming Back For You, Baby!

binge-worthy buzz

It’s us. We are back for the first Binge-Worthy Buzz of 2023. It is with great pleasure that we announce we are bringing back your favorite guide on Movies and TV. We can’t wait to see what comes next in this realm for us to go nuts over. Shall we get started?

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Yes, yes, new year, same obsession with the MCU. This time, we’ll be talking about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a huge hit in theaters, and now it’s about to hit Disney+ as well. The movie will be available on the streaming service on February 1 and on DVD on February 7.

In Wakanda Forever, we meet a kingdom in mourning for their king, T’Challa, and still lost as to how to move forward after this loss. Every time T’Challa was mentioned, we cried like little kids, but it was so beautiful that it was worth it. And if the mourning process wasn’t enough for Wakandans, they also have a new threat to their kingdom to deal with. But this time, it’s Shuri’s turn to don the mantle of Black Panther and help her people.

Renfield

We don’t know about you, but we love monster stories, which means we were obsessed the second we heard about Renfield. Renfield is Count Dracula’s loyal servant and has been for centuries. But after so much time doing his master’s every bidding, Renfield gets tired and decides he wants a life outside of Dracula’s shadow if he can figure out how to end his codependency with the old bat.

Based on the trailer, we can already tell Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage have done a great job of bringing these monstrous characters to life. Also, can we talk about how cool it is that Nicolas Cage is playing Dracula? Renfield will be in theaters on April 14, and we can’t wait to watch it.

Women Talking

Sarah Polley’s latest movie brings us a group of very different women whose main goal is to come to a conclusion as to how they’ll move forward and build a better world for the future. But here’s the thing: they all must agree on what the next steps should be, even though many of them disagree on many things.

Despite the violent backstory to the movie, the story we actually see in the movie is actually about women coming together, with only short glimpses of the bad experiences that lead the women to where they are in the story. Women Talking is already playing in select theaters across the States and will be in theaters everywhere on January 20.

Plane

What happens when a plane is forced to land on an island in the middle of nowhere? And no, we’re not talking about Lost. Instead, we’re talking about Plane. In this new action movie, pilot Brodie Torrance saves his passengers from dying due to a lightning strike, but that ends up leading them to an island where war is happening.

In this already oh-so-great scenario, the passengers are taken hostage, and Torrance is left to rescue them with only Louis Gaspare to help him. The only problem is that Gaspare is an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. Sounds great, doesn’t it? But since he’s the only one who can help, Torrance has no choice but to trust him. The movie will be in theaters on January 13.
