Okay, so it’s been a little bit since we’ve gotten a new Neck Deep track. Has it been less than a year? Yes, but that’s still too long. We have to say their new track, ‘Heartbreak Of The Century,’ was well worth the wait. Now, let’s throw it back a century,
‘Heartbreak Of The Century’
Neck Deep is back and giving fans a taste of some familiar music. ‘Heartbreak Of The Century’ truly gives us old Neck Deep vibes, as well as possibly what’s to come with new Neck Deep music. No, but seriously, this is probably one of our favorite releases so far in 2023. The opening guitar riffs and the other instrumentals all come in slowly as the intro starts; it’s just chef’s kiss. It’s definitely giving early 2000s coming-of-age movie intro song vibes, and we love that for it. Plus, the lyrics “It’s not like me to be so weak / You got me good, you cut me deep” are some of our favorites. The track truly just has everything that made us fall in love with Pop-Punk in the first place. We haven’t stopped playing ‘Heartbreak Of The Century’ since its release.
The music video is for all of our movie lovers out there, as the guys put on their own Oscars and even win an award. They looked really snazzy, and like the group, it’s probably our favorite music video by them. Please watch it if you would like to see Neck Deep’s amazing acting skills lol.
We took the idea of ‘the heartbreak of the century’ and imagined if you could actually win an award for that. So there we had it- a shitty Oscar’s, where we won the heartbreak of the century award. We wanted the video to feel classic/ nostalgic, something that was entertaining to watch rather than your usual. It features some of our best (worst) acting to date and is one of our favorite videos we’ve ever done.
