SG5 Takes Us To The Galaxy With Their Debut!

The popular anime, Sailor Moon, has been loved for so many generations, including all of us here at THP! Through the iconic characters and storylines, it will be remembered forever. What we weren’t prepared for was a whole J-Pop group based on them!

Introducing SG5, a group working with popular producers like Bloodpop (who is well known for producing for Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber) and Hudson Mohawke (known for working with Drake) to create a new generation of girl groups. The members include MIYUU, SAYAKA, KAEDE, RURI, and RUI. Each of them represents a character from Sailor Moon, and we are so hyped for them to dominate the world!

They debuted on March 1st 2023, with their single ‘Fire Truck,’ a song about the individual flame that burns inside all of us, and the song has been on repeat all day for us! With the hip-hop and dance elements the song offers, means this track will definitely be a banger for all of us!

Our debut in the US almost feels like a dream, but we would like to do our best to make SG5 known to people from all over the world. I hope that everyone can feel the girl power and energy that radiates from this song and video, and get excited with us!
