We’ll say it, Maggie Lindemann is a cover queen! Of course, we love her originals, too. From Paranoia to her newest album SUCKERPUNCH, Maggie has never failed to deliver. However, she’s also proven time and time again that she can slay any song that comes her way. Adding her own flair to the source material, Maggie breathes new life into covers that make them so addictive. Recently, she released a cover of ‘ceilings’ by Lizzy McAlpine and we’re obsessed!
In this calming rendition, Maggie lets her voice amplify the already incredibly powerful lyrics and beautifully haunting melody. Backed by nothing but the strum of guitar strings, Maggie truly knocked this out of the park and gave this already-incredible song so much heart. There’s something about her tone that gives us chills.
I have been listening to this song nonstop for the last couple months now, I am obsessed with it. I think the melodies and her lyricism are genius. It makes you feel so many different emotions, I just love it.
Maggie knocked this one out of the park! Should we be surprised, though? Time and time again, her covers have soared well past our expectations. We still haven’t recovered from her iconic cover of ‘All Around Me’ by Flyleaf. Her vocals are insane! She’s also covered ‘La La Land’ by Demi Lovato and ‘Just A Girl’ by No Doubt. You can find them all on her YouTube channel.
‘All Around Me’
We should also remind you that Maggie is heading out on the road soon with her Suckerpunch World Tour. You still have time to snag tickets here on her official website. Although we’re sure it’ll be filled with the best picks from her album, we’ve got our fingers crossed the queen bee might slip in one of those brilliant covers… or two!
