Ever since winning American Idol back in 2002, Kelly Clarkson has dominated the music industry with her strong and powerful vocals and independent attitude. Not only that, she has become an idol for many up-and-coming artists; becoming a coach on The Voice along with having her own daytime talk show. Kelly Clarkson is a true queen of pop, and we are so excited for her new album, Chemistry, coming out this year! So, in order to hype us up for the new album, we have gathered five songs that make us smile for you to reminisce on.
This spunky and direct track coming off Kelly Clarkson’s debut album Thankful has the clear message of losing the independence and courage while falling in love. The song is nostalgic and full of the early 2000s pop that we love and adore. Get ready to blast your speakers with this one!
‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)’
This upbeat and powerful track coming off of her album Stronger has been in many of our playlists ever since it came out back in 2011! ‘Stronger’ is just that song that can lift up your mood no matter what. Through the motivating lyrics in the chorus and ethereal instrumentals, this song has been played through many radio stations and stores to this day! This track proves how powerful Kelly Clarkson is.
‘Behind These Hazel Eyes’
Taking it back to 2004, ‘Behind These Hazel Eyes’ became a pop rock track for the ages. Kelly Clarkson revolutionized the music industry with her music video running away from her wedding and becoming independent. This song is the type to blast in your car to accompany you during a late-night drive.
Jumping back to 2016, ‘Heartbeat Song’ is definitely a song to make you smile and dance no matter where you hear it! Full of happy lyrics about falling in love and enjoying the thrills of it, Kelly Clarkson definitely enlightened our moods with this one and we love her for that!
‘Catch My Breath’
Finally, coming off the compilation album of her Greatest Hits, ‘Catch My Breath’ is a song about rejuvenation, changing her mood towards life, and filtering out all of the negativity. It’s a song that has helped us through harsh times and for the better. It is one of our favorites here at THP!
Like we said before, we are beyond thrilled about Kelly Clarkson’s new album Chemistry. We are sure it is going to be filled with new powerful anthems and danceable tracks, so please release it already! (No but for real though)
