Colours in Hoxton has hosted plenty of iconic shows, and we had the pleasure to attend October Drift at their headline, sold out show there.
It’s always something great seeing a rock band perform. They really pulled off the most energetic show we’ve been to in a while in London. They really put every part of themselves into their performance.
October Drift sure know how to put on a show, the lighting being continuous strobes helped pull the energy of the show together, it was loud, heavy, and sweaty—everything you’d expect from a real rock show. The crowd sang along to every lyric, head-banged, and really thrived in the moments.
October Drift’s set consisted of just over an hour’s worth of their greatest hits and latest releases. It was a perfect mix of songs. The constant high energy basically turned the show into a workout, but who can complain about that? We’d much rather pay for a concert ticket than a gym membership.
The band made it a really interactive experience for everyone. They started the show from the middle of the crowd, then spent a few songs jumping down from the stage and singing with the audience. They even finished the show back in the crowd singing an acoustic song to end the tour on a high. It really felt like the crowd loved every second of it. Emotions were high, the dancing never stopped and to have a crowd that intense made it feel like a real community.
It was one of the loudest shows we’ve ever witnessed. That’s a real sign you know it’s been a good show when your ears start ringing and your body aches the day after. We couldn’t recommend it enough, as concert-goers ourselves.
If you’re into rock music, October Drift should definitely be added to your playlists, and to your bucket list of concerts. Get at them while you can! They are absolutely worth your time, support, and love.
