We’re In Love With Spanish Love Songs’ Latest Single, ‘Haunted’

Spanish Love Songs is back with new music! Last month, they released an EP of covers, The Doom & Gloom Sessions. While we absolutely loved the EP, we’re so stoked about their new music. Their new song, ‘Haunted,’ is the first single from their upcoming album, No Joy set to be released on August 25th via Pure Noise Records. You can pre-order it here. If you’re into collecting vinyl, they have some pretty sweet ones you can pre-order.

‘Haunted’

Haunted is a reintroduction of sorts for us. It lays out exactly the band we are at the moment, and after 9 months of writing and recording, we knew it had to be the first to come out. We were ecstatic to bring it to life with Hannah

Dylan Slocum, vocalist and guitarist.

We love their older music too, but we’re definitely vibing with this new era. We’re obsessed with the contrast between the upbeat synth-pop and the hard-hitting lyrics. It’s definitely a song you’ll need to listen to multiple times to get the full effect. (Also, just because it’s a fantastic song.) You can check out the music video below.

Lyrics We Love

“When you felt nothing but young and in love
and they didn’t love you in return.
The look that was in their eyes is a memory you’ve burned.
You sleep with a window open and you hope the cold gets in your heart.
But you’re not haunted.”

Ready To Hear It Live?

They’ll be playing Slam Dunk Festival and they’ll also be going on a UK tour with Hot Mulligan kicking off August 31st! (In case you missed it, they just released their new album and it’s a banger!) For a full list of dates and tickets click here.
