It’s been what seems like forever since ONE OK ROCK was last in the UK, (it’s been a couple of years.) But we are so glad to have them back. As you know by now, we are avid concert-goers here, it’s one of the best places to be. ONE OK ROCK had the crowd hyped from the moment the banner went up before they were even on stage.
The venue is one of the most reputable venues in London. For ONE OK ROCK to be performing there, blew our minds! We had high expectations and they absolutely delivered. They had moments of joint choreography which made it feel like the show just flowed seamlessly and effortlessly.
Overall, they performed with such joyful energy but managed to somehow create such a dark and moody atmosphere, in a good way. Everyone had parts of themselves in each and every song, it not only felt like a community but like a group therapy session for everyone to let out all their feelings.
Toru, Taka, Ryota, and Tomoya put everything they had into that performance, and if that is how they play at every show, you can catch us getting tickets to multiple dates the next time they come around. Can we take a moment to appreciate the outfits too? The color coordination, the vibes. All immaculate.
‘Save Yourself’ kicked off the show with high stamina and an incredible amount of energy. While it was a heavy rock show, what is a rock show without an acoustic moment? They played ‘Your Tears Are Mine’ halfway through and no doubt broke a handful of hearts. ONE OK ROCK finished on a high with ‘Wasted Nights,’ ending an already amazing show, with the perfect song. With the consistently high energy, the crowd could have stayed there for hours. However, London has a noise curfew so… unfortunately, we all had to go home.
