‘Scatterbrain‘ includes many mental health-related themes, and we think it does an amazing job at picturing its main message. Emei’s incredible flow is what instantly got our attention! We instantly felt pulled into this single with the first verse, and her shift between her rapid verses and the catchy chorus is a complete 10/10!
The music video is absolutely brilliant! ‘Scatterbrain’ turns a bit darker with its somber beats at the end, and the video shows the nightmare that lives in Emei’s mind. We love it when artists bring their lyrics into visual form! 🎥
The video also captures so many details from the track that definitely deserved to be highlighted! For example, the xylophone notes during the first chorus and Emei jumping behind herself, giving a lighthearted touch to the second verse of the song (although it includes the deepest lyrics of the whole track). Emei has created one of our favorite videos of the year!
