Our favorite post-pop punk band, Hot Mulligan, has come out with a new song, ‘Gans Media Retro Games.’ This is the second release from their upcoming album, Why Would I Watch, set to be released May 12th via Wax Bodega. You can pre-save and pre-order the album here. Last month, they released the first single, ‘Shhhh! Golf Is On’ It has 1.5 million streams. NBD 💅
Hot Mully is known for releasing banger after banger, and ‘Gans Media Retro Games’ is no exception. We’re looking forward to surfing to this song and screaming, “Am I the problem?” while fingerpointing. It’s definitely a new sound for them, but we’re so excited for this new Hot Mully era.
This song is about only seeing what I’m doing wrong. Seems like I drink and lose touch between what I’m saying and what I mean. Musically, this song has a cool little balancing act between distortion and that kinda ghost-y lead that I’m stoked about.”
Tades Sanville, lead singer of Hot Mulligan
Our Favorite Lyrics
“But I can’t stop calming my nerves,
till they’re numb, worthless vestigial and senseless”
We love the music video. It’s just classic nonsensical shenanigans that Hot Mully is known for. Also, Dan Lambton, the former vocalist of Real Friends, also makes an appearance! We’ve definitely missed him. (Side note, he’s a Twitch streamer, btw. We recommend checking out his streams.) You can watch the music video for ‘Gans Media Retro Games’ below.
Hot Mully is playing some headlining shows soon. They’ll also be at every date of Sad Summer Fest. Y’know, if you feel the need to see them multiple times. (We do.) For both headlining and festival dates, click here.
