We are more than willing to wait for years if we’ve gotta for Bad Omens. Thankfully, we never have to wait because they are truly a gift that keeps on giving. We still haven’t been able to move on from their latest release, Concrete Jungle. An album that is cover-to-cover bops and is still ruling the Alternative Music world. ‘Just Pretend’ is simply the latest single from the album to take over the charts! And now our wait for the music video for the track is finally over.
The best way to describe this music video is that it’s hauntingly beautiful. ‘Just Pretend’ talks about waiting for a lover you lost until the day you die. This video truly depicts pretending you didn’t lose them until you go. The video watches the main character, partially portrayed by lead singer Noah Sebastian, reliving the relationship through a memory simulator. You relive this love with him and watch him lose it all over again when the simulator glitches and goes off track.
There’s something almost ghostly about Noah Sebastian’s vocals at the beginning of this track. Eerily inviting you to follow him in his heartache, you can’t help but obsess over this one. It’s no surprise to us that Bad Omens has nearly sold out their entire upcoming US Tour. Add on the UK + Europe Tour they just announced with Bring Me The Horizon, and their forthcoming Global takeover is imminent.
Bad Omens also recently announced their upcoming comic book series Concrete Jungle. The series is co-written by Noah Sebastian and will be available to buy in stores starting September 8th! The series is a four-issue-a-month series, and we don’t even know what to do with the idea of that much Bad Omens content. Probably make it our entire personality, truthfully. The band also mentioned the upcoming release of multiple bundles for the comic, so catch us emptying our bank accounts for those!
