That’s right, we’re back again with even more Renee Rapp love to share. Her new single ‘Snow Angel’ has already jumped to the top of our Spotify On Repeat playlist. And now that the jaw-dropping music video is here, it’s going to stay there even longer! If you didn’t already have the biggest heart eyes for Renee, that’s going to change right now.
‘Snow Angel’ is the first release from Renee’s upcoming debut album, Snow Angel, which is due out on August 18th. We can’t deny that her releasing the title track first makes us even more scared for our emotional state when we get the full album. Renee has this way of gripping onto every single heartstring you have with her lyrics, vocals, and overall delivery. This doesn’t just stop at the song level, however, this seeps into every aspect of her projects.
The video for ‘Snow Angel’ was filmed by none other than Alyah Chanelle Scott. Also, from The Sex Lives Of College Girls, Alyah is one of Renee’s closest friends. The amount of talent these two possess both individually and together, is absolutely breathtaking. The video showcases a heartbroken Renee looking at the winter that surrounds her and finding her peace within it. Calling this video a cinematic masterpiece honestly almost feels like underselling it.
We are absolutely willing to go on record and say that Renee and Alyah need to collaborate on anything and everything from here on out. We’re crossing our fingers for more of this magic during the release of Snow Angel. August 18th is circled and underlined on every calendar we own!
