All of The Word Alive’s singles from their upcoming album Hard Reset have us more and more excited. The album releases on August 25th, and it feels so far away. The Word Alive knocked it out of the park once again with the latest single from the album: ‘Hate Me’ ft. Loveless.
The production of this track hooked us instantly. The guitars take the energy level up to 100 and make ‘Hate Me’ catchy as hell. Like we’re out here finger-pointing in our chairs as we write. And we, of course, have to mention the amazing combination that is Loveless and Telle Smith. Julian and Telle’s voices? A match made in heaven with the way they worked so well together on ‘Hate Me.’ The Word Alive made the perfect choice in putting Loveless on this track because we couldn’t imagine it with anyone else. ‘Hate Me’ has literally been on repeat since we first heard it, and we’re so, so hyped for Hard Reset. We have a feeling that this era of The Word Alive is not only going to show how much their sound evolved but will take us back to their roots. It’ll be what TWA fans know and love blended together with new sounds we also love! That’s evident from the Hard Reset singles we’ve heard already. You can hear the evolution but also the blast back to sonic roots by comparing singles like ‘Hate Me’ to something like ‘Strange Love.’ Telle Smith said it best:
