It’s a big day for fans of different cultures coming together to create amazing music. The track we’re telling you about today is the product of two acclaimed artists who deserve all your love and hype. The iconic Latin singer and producer Camilo teamed up with the equally iconic Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh to bring us ‘Palpita,’ a Spanish-Punjabi track that will have your heartbeat running away. This is Camilo’s second song released for Coke Studio, following his feature on Jon Batiste’s ‘Be Who You Are (Real Magic).’ Diljit Dosanjh, who just had a ground-breaking set at Coachella as the first-ever Punjabi artist to grace their stage, was the perfect choice for this collab, in our opinion.

Our first listen of ‘Palpita’ left us immediately hooked. Spanish and Punjabi are both beautiful languages. Seeing them come together on a track like this, sung by two amazing artists at the forefront of their respective cultural music, makes ‘Palpita’ a spectacular collab. We love the way Camilo and Diljit Dosanjh’s voices complement each other, and the production of the song is so good. ‘Palpita’ in the song’s context refers to your heart beating.

The beats in the back of the song completely sound like they could represent how your heart pulses and beats. It’s a perfect reflection of the song’s meaning, and we live for songs that go in this direction. It’s also just catchy as hell, and we can’t stop dancing in our seats whenever we listen to it. We also love the way Camilo and Diljit sing the actual word ‘Palpita.’ It just scratches something in our brains.
I’ve admired Diljit for a long time, long before this collaboration came to me, so it was an incredible surprise to see it all come to life.
