Cacien, aka Garlica Princess, is transforming the musical scene by merging a unique futuristic flair with classical tunes. It absolutely works, and we can’t get enough of it. On November 20th, our favorite C-Pop queen, Cacien, dropped the much-anticipated GP’s Anatomy EP. The project fuses contemporary jazz and pop tracks with lo-fi beats, enchanting vocals, and playful raps. It’s all enhanced by futuristic visuals, bold looks, 3D music videos, and an irresistible Y2K vibe. Cacien is giving timeless tunes a millennial makeover. So, when someone asks what ‘Love is…’ the only correct way to respond is Cacien and the GP’s Anatomy EP.
Everything To Love About GP’s Anatomy.
In GP’s Anatomy, the music begins with soothing harmonies in ‘520,’ which opens the project as a delightful ASMR session for the ears. It’s a light and delicate song that allows you to truly soak in the melody. This is followed by ‘Love is…,’ where Cacien’s jazz roots meet a modern beat. This fusion is irresistible.
The fourth track is ‘She is THE B!TCH’, and we love everything about this song. It’s an entirely unexpected anthem nestled in the middle of the album that blends hip-hop vibes with classical instruments along with some fun raps. As the album comes to a close, the final track, ‘525,’ is a beautiful ballad that slows down the tempo and spotlights Cacien’s amazing vocals. The album closes with a note of self-love and a sweet “Mwah!”
Taking That Third Person Perspective
Everyone has their very own alter ego, and Cacien is no exception. Through the lens of Garlica Bunny (Cacien’s alter ego), Cacien uses this third-person perspective to artistically unravel thoughts and turn them into music. The music Cacien releases, therefore, becomes this canvas for personal evolution that goes from wanting external validation to celebrating self-love.
“I deeply dissect my brain in this album from the third-person perspective. Acting as Garlica Bunny, I divided my brain into two parts just like it is structured: the ‘Love Brain’ (right brain) and the ‘Independent Brain’ (left brain). The album documents my journey from seeking external validation to embracing self-love.”
