Welcome to The Honey POP, we are so excited to be able to talk to you! Let’s start by asking you what kind of an experience you want your listeners to have.
Thank you for having me. I want to help people find light in the darkness. Music is the best way to connect with people and share messages because it’s a universal language. Writing music that sets my soul on fire has healed me in many ways. So, I want to heal as many souls as possible with my art. I try to create emotional music and interesting melodies with strong and meaningful lyrics. In my opinion, we all experience pain, depression, anxiety, trauma, and so many different kinds of pain that might not be visible to anyone else. I want my songs to speak to people, heal them, and make them feel better and motivated. I work a lot on transmuting my energy into something beautiful. I use music as an outlet to express myself and be able to feel what I feel without feeling like the world is caving in.

You’re a self-taught music producer. Was it hard learning everything on your own, and what would you say was one of the hardest things to teach yourself?
It was quite hard but I enjoy the process, music is my passion and my remedy. Everything I have done and chosen to do in my life has revolved around music and following my dreams. The hardest thing to teach myself was mixing and mastering. It’s really complicated and exhausting because I am a perfectionist. Knowing when to let go and move on is extremely important but tough. I still have much to learn, and I am improving daily.

Music has been with you since a very young age. Was it love at first listen, and do you remember the names of some of the first music pieces you have been exposed to?
Music has always been a big part of my life; it is literally my guardian angel. Music takes away the heaviness; it takes away the ugly, the pain, and just for a second, you can focus on a beautiful melody, unique sound, or beautiful vocal that pulls your heartstrings and either makes you forget or makes you painfully remember. Instruments and noises played together that are powerful enough to take you somewhere else. Even if it only lasts 3 minutes, you have another chance to play another song and experience it all over again.

It started when I was really young; my mom used to listen to classical and orchestral music. I fell in love with all the instruments, especially the piano, violin, and cello. So classical music has a huge place in my heart. Later, my dad and my sister introduced me to bands and singers that I really love and admire even today. ‘Viva La Vida,’ ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ by Coldplay, and ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ by The Script changed my life. There are so many songs, but these 3 really hit my soul. Over the years, I fell in love with more genres, especially EDM. I remember the first time I watched the Tomorrowland Festival, and I was hooked. Songs like ‘Wake Me Up’ by Avicii, ‘Language’ by Porter Robinson, and ‘Calling’ by Alesso + Sebastian Ingrosso made me fall in love with EDM. There is something contagious about electronic music. The atmosphere, energy, and vibes are something else… I believe that the most important thing in life is to be happy, celebrate it, and create memories. That is exactly what EDM is all about.

Your music manages to really touch the soul, from the instrumentals to the lyrics. What does your production process look like?
Thank you so much; I appreciate the kind words. So, 99% of the time, I start with the melody. I improvised on the piano until I found a good melody and chord progression. Then, I start producing and adding synths, guitars, violins, cellos, rhythms, etc. When I finish a demo, I send the track to potential collaborators. I always collaborate with other singers because, unfortunately, I can’t sing, my voice is terrible… So, I find amazing singers on social media or music platforms.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get inspiration from so many things, but I think the most powerful sources of inspiration come from traveling, movies, and music festivals/concerts. Music-wise, I listen to many genres and am always open to new sounds. So many artists and bands inspire me. Artists and bands like Coldplay, ILLENIUM, The Script, Martin Garrix, Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Bring Me The Horizon, Hans Zimmer, Said The Sky, Dabin, and more.

‘How To Live’ touches on topics related to dreams, the struggles along the way, and how we get through and closer to our desired goals. Is this piece inspired by personal experiences?
Yes, I struggle a lot with mental health and depression. The grind, the self-loathing, the doubt that runs rampant inside my head that plagues every single decision I make…. Sometimes it sucks me completely dry. Being a dream chaser is not easy at all so I wanted to create a motivational song for myself and for those who dream big and struggle along the way with mental health and other stuff. What often keeps us going is the wonder of the “what if” when we reach for those stars that we gaze at. In the end, every original success story comes with a lot of failure but also a persistence to never give up. You don’t know when or where your next opportunity will arrive, and if you don’t shoot your best shot, you’ll never know.
In my opinion, this song is like a giant warm, nostalgic hug that you can’t help but bop your head and smile while listening to it.

If you could describe ‘How To Live’ with one word, what would it be?
Remedy

Can you set up the scene for everyone’s first listen to ‘How To Live?’
You’re going through a hard time, you don’t know how to keep going, Then you listen to this song, and you realize that you can do it. Even though you are struggling, you must keep moving forward and be optimistic and positive.

For this song, you team up with Lord & Land. How did you decide to work together on this project? Can you tell us a little more about this collaboration, and what working together was like?
I heard one of his songs on Spotify, and I fell in love with his voice. He is such a great and underrated artist. I sent him a message via Instagram and sent him the track. He loved it, we started working together, and he sent an idea really quickly. I was hooked and loved the idea, so we continued. A couple of weeks later, he sent the final vocals. I finished the music production, mixing, and mastering, and we both were so happy with the finished product. We even decided to create an acoustic version too. The acoustic version of ‘How To Live’ will be in February. We believe that this song deserves a calm version, too. This acoustic version adds a lot of depth and meaning to the song and is just as captivating as the original.

With 2024 about to take us on a new journey, and with you starting it with a new release, should we be looking toward more new music from you?
Oh yeah, I have so many new songs I want to share with you. I have been working nonstop in the studio to create a tangible work of art that really speaks to who I am as an artist. Been working like a mad man and haven’t been this inspired in a long time. This year, I will make up for the lack of releases last year, trust. I hope I can fill many souls in some way with these new sounds, melodies, and words to come.

What are some of your biggest goals for 2024?
Same goals as last year. Unfortunately, 2023 was the worst year of my life, and I didn’t achieve much, so I hope 2024 will be the best year of my life and that I will achieve a lot. My biggest goal is getting an artist visa; I want to move to the US. I believe I will have many more opportunities there to develop my music career. Unfortunately, it is pretty complicated, but I believe I’ll get it one day.
Another goal for this year is to release a song every month and more acoustic versions. I will keep making music and touching people’s hearts and souls. I want to keep growing my socials and fanbase. I want to evolve and become a better version of myself – as a musician and as a person.

We truly can’t wait for more of your future work. For our last question, we want to ask, is there a story you want to portray through your music that you haven’t yet?
Yeah, I want to create a self-love song. For as long as I can remember, I’ve hated my appearance. The way I see myself has ruined so many moments that should’ve been fun. I’m so critical of myself, and I often wonder what I would be like if I spent less time worrying about my flaws and more time worrying about what really matters. I know that so many people suffer, too, so I want to create a song to help them during hard times. A song about accepting yourself.
