It’s that time of the week again! We are here to give you an impressive list of the best new releases this week, and boy is this list stacked! We have everything from Maggie Lindemann to Benson Boone and much more! Let’s jump right in!
Neck Deep – Neck Deep
After spending a solid month doing the annual ritual of crying our eyes out to ‘December,’ a new Neck Deep album is exactly what we needed.
Pop-punk music is near and dear to us, so having a band like Neck Deep that continuously pumps stellar music into the genre database couldn’t mean more to us. This whole self-titled album is chalked full of some of their best tracks to date, including ‘Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k,’ and ‘Take Me With You.’

BANNERS – ‘Perfectly Broken’ ft. Lily Meola
‘Perfectly Broken’ was already an A-tier BANNERS song, so the addition of Lily Meola? Yeah, that pretty much solidified this as our new favorite track of his. ‘Perfectly Broken’ is a beautiful track full of so much love and so much reassurance. It’s a reminder that when you feel as though you’re less than, that you’re thoughts are the reality, that you’re simply just ‘Perfectly Broken.’

Natalie Shay – ‘Doing Well’
Natalie Shay is the next it girl. We’re making that claim loud and proud! The storytelling in ‘Doing Well’ really sold us; the song details the story of daydreaming about what life will be like when you’re “Doing Well,” when you can live in the hills and go to expensive bars in expensive LA neighborhoods, the Hollywood dream.

Allie X – ‘Off With Her Tits’
We’ve been saying for years that Allie-X needs to be on everyone’s radar, ‘Off With Her Tits’ proves that we, of course, have been right all along. The play “Off With Her Head” from Alice in Wonderland is so creative and made for a song that is total and complete ear candy.

Maggie Lindemann – ‘hostage’
Anytime Maggie Lindemann releases new music, we fall more in love with her as an artist; the creativity and the mastering of craft that is visible with each release is astonishing. ‘hostage’ is a beautifully tragic song, vulnerable in a way only Maggie knows how to be with her audience.
We are forever stans.

Valley – songs that got lost in translation (deluxe album)
Could we love Valley any more than we do after listening to the deluxe album? The answer is no. We could not.
Each track on this record is perfectly crafted, perfectly placed, and always meant to exist together. ‘We Don’t Need Malibu’ was our favorite song off of the original album, but we think ‘diary in a bar’ certainly gives it a run for its money.

Amy Shark – ‘Beautiful Eyes’
Amy Shark never misses, it’s a cold hard fact. Each track she puts out is such a stunning expression of self, and ‘Beautiful Eyes’ is no different. The want for a greater form of self-love that flows through these lyrics really touched us and really resonated. Sometimes we all need the reminder to open up our ‘Beautiful Eyes’ and see what’s really happening in our lives.

Calum Scott – ‘Lighthouse’
Calum Scott has one of the most incredible voices in music today; he could sing the phone book, and we’d probably cry while listening.
‘Lighthouse’ is the most beautiful love song that would actually make us melt into a puddle if anyone ever sang for us. The lyrics flex Calum’s relationship with his pen in such a big way.

Zara Larsson – ‘You Love Who You Love’
We have been begging for y’all to give Zara Larsson her flowers and her rightful place as a main pop girl, and if any project can cement that, after listening to ‘You Love Who You Love’,’ we are sure it will be her upcoming album VENUS. The message behind ‘You Love Who You Love’ is a lyrically heavy track, depicting an abusive relationship that your friends are trying to get you out of, and with those lyrics nestled amongst a hyper-pop-esque beat, it makes for the perfect mix.

Benson Boone – ‘Beautiful Things’
Will we ever stop singing Benson Boone’s praises? Unlikely! When the material is consistently getting better, and the lyrics are at the level of ‘Beautiful Things,’ there is simply no choice but to stan.
This track is never Noah Kahan‘s ‘Your Needs, My Needs’ coded, which couldn’t be a higher compliment. And the vocal moments in the chorus? Absolutely unreal.

TYA – ‘Venetian Blind’
We are ending this round-up with an artist that needs to be on all of your radars: TYA. ‘Venetian Blind’ is the perfect mix of indie-pop and RnB, unlike anything we’re currently hearing released. We are predicting 2024 is going to be a huge year for TYA.
