No matter who your NMIXX bias is, you have great taste. But today, we’re gonna focus on Sullyoon for a little while! She joined JYP Entertainment after passing auditions for each of the big three K-Pop companies – JYPE was her choice since she loves TWICE, which is so relatable – and has since become one of the most beloved idols out there. She’s a total ace, consistently offering stunning vocals and dance performances while also stealing all our hearts with her sweet personality.
To celebrate Sullyoon and her many talents, we’re spotlighting some of our favorite covers that she’s performed since becoming part of NMIXX! Be sure to check out her other covers as well after you watch these, because it was nearly impossible for us to narrow it down to just these few.
SUNMI & Lena – ‘Full Moon’
Of course, we have to start off this list with Sullyoon’s qualifying video from NMIXX’s pre-debut era! From the moment we watched this cover, we knew Sully would become one of our ultimate biases. She captured the romantic whimsy of the song so well and absolutely crushed both her vocal and dancing performances. This was just the beginning!
BLACKPINK – ‘STAY’
One of our favorite video series from NMIXX are their MIXXTAPE videos, which let each member cover various songs! Sullyoon’s rendition of ‘STAY’ had our hearts from the moment we pressed play. Combine her beautiful vocals with an adorable video showing behind-the-scenes clips and we’re absolutely sold!
Apink – ‘Mr. Chu’
When Sullyoon became an MC on Show! MusicCore, she performed her own version of Apink’s ‘Mr. Chu’ to introduce herself to viewers! If we ever get a Sully solo release, we could totally see her going for a similar vibe. The bright, dreamy energy suits her amazingly and pink is 100% her color. This cover was so fun to watch – we keep going back to it!
