The girls are back, and this time it’s with their 12th mini album, READY TO BE. We had a little sneak peek of the album with ‘MOONLIGHT SUNRISE,’ which, first of all, was a bop! It was really well received by K-POP and non K-POP stans alike. And has stayed on our On Repeat Playlists ever since, but before we get too ahead of things, and keep talking about the track, let’s get into the album.
READY TO BE, more like READY TO BE loved, ha ha ha…anyways. No, but like all the tracks on the LP are about love, showing, feeling, and falling out of love. And we love that for it, especially since it gave us banger after banger and a lot of earworms. What we love about each track is that even though they revolve around the same, they all sound different, which TWICE is good at when it comes to albums. And once again, the girls had a hand in making some tracks, which we know we can and will all appreciate. We also know how hard these girls are working to promote READY TO BE, which makes it even more special.

You know what? We’re going to come out and say it, we have our favorites, and that’s okay because we know you do too! You know you have that one that slips ahead of the others in your streams, but it doesn’t mean we don’t like the others, because best believe all the tracks from READY TO BE, have been stuck in our heads. And since it’s been about a week, we had time to really process and think which tracks we liked more, but y’all, as we mentioned earlier, we do love all of the tracks and think they all fit READY TO BE so well. It was also kinda hard to choose our top three, especially that third spot 👀. Anyways, here we go!
‘SET ME FREE’
‘SET ME FREE’ *sigh* ever since we first heard it, we’ve been obsessed! Whether it’s the regular or English version, we are in love. The “No, No, No’s,” the rap part, followed by the pause going into the higher notes, was quite exquisite. We already know this isn’t just going to be our fave track off the album, but will also be our favorite track of the year.
‘MOONLIGHT SUNRISE’
This is probably not a surprise to a lot of you, you just had to know ‘MOONLIGHT SUNRISE’ would be in a top spot. It just had to be, and you know how much we loved it when it was first released too! But what also made it make its way to number two is TWICE’s performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. We love a good TWICE, and Kelly moment.
‘CRAZY STUPID LOVE’
‘CRAZY STUPID LOVE’ just had to be here, first, it is an obvious standout on the album, second, it is written by Dahyun, third, the girls are excited to perform it live, and finally, it has a Pop-Rock sound. The last reason really solidified the track for us. We knew this kind of sound was going to be coming from the girls eventually, and we just love it so, so much. everyone really shined here.
