Taylor Bickett Can Teach You How To Like Mondays

What’s better in life than a brand new musical obsession, that’s what we think Taylor Bickett should be to you. Taylor brings passion, joy, and inspiration to the forefront of her music with her powerful lyricism. It’s as if the universe kind of just aligns when you put on one of her tracks. But ‘I Like Mondays’ feels like that mixed with so much more.

‘I Like Mondays’ is invigorating, catchy, and uplifting. The track brings Taylor’s favorite, and maybe not so favorite parts, of herself and the world center stage. But through all of her fears, Taylor shows us how she finds happiness and peace. “I am working on it, give me some grace. I like empty pages, I like Mondays.”

Taylor has always struggled with perfectionism. The expectations that we set for ourselves are sometimes the hardest to reach. And sometimes they’re even harder to exceed. But through sharing her own experiences Taylor found another way to resonate with her fans. And thus – ‘I Like Mondays’ was born. Taylor had this to say when discussing the origin of the song.

I wrote and posted a snippet of the song on social media just in the hopes of making a few people feel seen. I was shocked to see how much it resonated, which led me to finish and record the song in just a matter of weeks. The song is, at its core, an affirmation that we all deserve grace; that beautiful things can come our way if we just relinquish control, if we loosen our grip, if we surrender to the universe.

To say that Taylor has us wrapped around her finger is an absolute understatement. We’re already trying to figure out how we can catch her live on her current tour with Ron Pope. We kind of need to scream every single word off of her EP grown up and lonely which was released last year. A storyteller, psychic, or just an overall real and relatable human being – Taylor has her hand on our hearts and she knows how to create music that directly speaks to them.
