Feel Like A ‘Super Lady’ With These 9 Empowering K-Pop Songs By Female Artists

Everyone needs a little mood boost sometimes, and what better way to do that than with some empowering songs? Bonus points if they’re by a female K-Pop artist – seriously, we don’t know what kind of magic they put into their music, but it can completely turn around a bad day for us. Here are some of our favorite energizing songs from the ladies of K-Pop!

aespa – ‘Girls’

Of course, we had to start this list off with the song that’s literally called ‘Girls!’ This has been one of our favorite aespa title tracks thanks to not only how amazing the song itself is but also its message. Even if you’re not confronting a creepy sci-fi supervillain, you can probably relate to the themes of facing your fears and standing your ground. Just remember you’re that girl, and you can do anything you set your mind to!

(G)I-DLE – ‘Super Lady’

One of the newest additions to our energy boost playlist is (G)I-DLE’s EDM-infused ‘Super Lady,’ which shows off their power and ambition like never before. It’s time to go “onward, ladies” and take on the world like you deserve! (G)I-DLE always exude so much confidence and we absolutely love to see it. We also love that the lyrics offer little nods to more women in K-Pop who are killing it: aespa, IVE, and LE SSERAFIM!

GOT The Beat – ‘Stamp On It’

Each member of the supergroup GOT The Beat has totally put their stamp on K-Pop history, so it makes sense that the title track for their first comeback is all about putting your stamp on the world! The lyrics talk about paving your own way in the world while refusing to let anyone put you down, which is such an important message that we all need at some point. They have our wholehearted stamp of approval!

H1-KEY – ‘Deeper’

If you’re having a rough day, there’s a good chance you know that moving forward will help you feel better, but you also want to let the sad feelings flow through you before you push your way through. We turn to H1-KEY’s ‘Deeper’ when we’re having one of those days! ‘Deeper’ acknowledges the bad times before the members decide to move forward to the good, which we think is so inspiring. “Let me move on, goodbye, my pain,” Riina sings on the bridge, ultimately choosing not to let any sadness hold her back!

Let’s keep the self-love vibes going with ITZY’s catchy anthem, ‘WANNABE!’ It’s impossible not to feel at least a little bit better about yourself when you’re listening to this song, whether you can do Ryujin’s iconic shoulder move or not. Hearing the girls proclaim, “I don’t wanna be somebody, just wanna be me,” is so motivating and reminds us to appreciate ourselves for who we are!

IVE – ‘I AM’

When IVE released ‘I AM,’ it wasn’t just a comeback – it was a cultural moment. There’s something so special about seeing the girls not only believe in themselves but also encourage everyone listening to believe in themselves just as much! With the key lyric, “be a writer, the genre is fantasy,” IVE reminds us that life is what we make it, and we owe it to ourselves to make the most of every day while pushing for our dreams.
