Every single ITZY release means we’ll get another amazing, mind-blowing, and iconic choreographies. They never let us down, and they never cease to amaze us. ITZY are incredible dancers and performers; not many go as hard as they do on stage. Everything they do becomes iconic and unforgettable. With that in mind, here are some of our favorite ITZY choreographies!
‘ICY’
The choreography for ITZY‘s first comeback, ‘ICY,’ invented intros. It’s as simple as that. Yeji walking past the girls and having every member incorporate one by one into the choreo gives us an indescribable feeling. It is just too good. The entire choreography is fun, bright, and energetic. Everyone thought that after ‘DALLA DALLA,’ they wouldn’t possibly top it, yet here are. ‘ICY’ was the perfect first comeback.
‘WANNABE’
And talking about iconic… Of course, ‘WANNABE’ has to be mentioned when it comes to favorite ITZY choreographies. Ryujin’s shoulder move had the world in a chokehold in 2020 in ways few other choreographies have ever impacted people. But ‘WANNABE’ isn’t only about that move – it mixes harsh and dark elements with a fun energy. And we’re still not over how impactful and satisfying the dance break is.
‘Not Shy’
‘WANNABE’ set the bar even higher for ITZY when it came to choreographies. And their comeback after that lived up to the expectations: ‘NOT SHY‘ was just as iconic and unforgettable. The moves in the chorus are incredibly satisfying to the point it is nearly impossible to listen to this song without picturing the choreo in your head or trying to do it yourself. On top of that, the transition between the different formations and moves is just so smooth and simply perfect. Another ITZY song that goes into the most iconic songs of 2020 list.
‘In The Morning’
Until the release of ‘In The Morning,’ ITZY’s concept had remained mostly bright and fun. But ‘In The Morning’ changed that as ITZY touched on a darker concept and therefore came out with a choreography that was completely unique and different from everything they had done before. And they ate. They completely owned the girl crush concept and proved that there was nothing they couldn’t do. This choreography still lives rent-free in our minds. To say it’s powerful doesn’t even come close to describing how amazing it is.
‘BORN TO BE’
Of course, we couldn’t talk about ITZY’s choreographies without mentioning ‘BORN TO BE.’ This was the first taste of ITZY’s second full-length album of the same name, and what a banger it was to start a new era with. ITZY gave us a massive performance worth of professional dancers, not just idols. They made sure we all knew for sure that they were the queens of performances, and ‘BORN TO BE’ was their loudest statement. No one does it quite like ITZY.
