Autoheart has stolen our hearts since the beginning with their debut album, Punch. And what a coincidence: The group is set to release Punch Demos really, really soon, which will show listeners a different take on everyone’s favorite old as well as new tracks. And we all got a sneak peek at what to expect with their newest track, ‘Secret Diary (Demo).’
‘Secret Diary (Demo)’
As we mentioned, ‘Secret Diary (Demo)’ comes from their upcoming album, Punch Demos, out on March 15th. Although it was released last week, we are still obsessed with it and think you should be, too. So, firstly, if you are a big fan of musicals or musical-type songs, you will absolutely love this track. It opens with a palm-muted guitar sound, and then the singing comes in, and right from there, we knew it would be iconic. We love that it has that signature sound that the other tracks from around the Punch era have, but it also has its own unique sound. You can find where to stream the track here.
As you can tell, we absolutely loved everything about Punch, so we are super excited about anything related to it. And because we love you, Punch, and Autoheart so much, we want to give you some of our favorite tracks from it, as well as one reason you should listen to each track.
‘Agoraphobia’
The vocals in ‘Agoraphobia’ are so immaculate; the harmonies and canons are brilliant.
‘January’
If you are missing 2013/2014, as we often are, ‘January’ is the perfect track to capture that sound.
‘The Sailor Song’
The instruments like the piano and Tamborine in ‘The Sailor Song’ help make it stand out amongst the other 12 tracks.
Okay, so there are many other tracks we can add to our list, but we don’t want to overwhelm you. Plus, you should definitely save that energy for when Punch Demos comes out!
