It’s been that way since her first single, ‘Blue,’ and it continues to be with her latest release, ‘I Can’t Even Cry.’
‘I Can’t Even Cry’ is, essentially, a break-up song. But it is the kind of break up song that perfectly puts into words that feeling of knowing the end has been just around the corner for some time now. And all that wrapped up in a beautiful soft melody too!
In the lyrics, Hope Tala walks us through the process of the break up, from believing this was it, this person was “The One,” all the way to that very same person ruining everything and the singer not even being able to ‘Cry’ about it afterwards.
And all the raw emotion we can clearly hear in the vocals of ‘ I Can’t Even Cry’ is part of what makes us love Hope Tala’s music so much. She never shies away from writing exactly how she feel about something and that creates the type of deep connection with fans that we love to see.
