Remember in sixth grade when you were forced to read The Outsiders? Of course, you do, I know you remember being obsessed with Ponyboy and then being even more heart-eyed when you saw the movie for the first time. If you’ve been craving more Outsiders content, you’re in major luck, honeybee! Ponyboy, Dallas, Sodapop, and Darry are hitting the Broadway stage! To celebrate the exciting new musical, we want to share our current favorite musical theater songs with you. ‘One Jump Ahead’ – Aladdin
If you said “yes” to this song choice, we wanna be your friend. One of the greatest love stories we grew up watching, Aladdin is incredible on the stage, and we highly recommend you see it if you ever get the chance. Like a genie in a bottle, all your dreams will come true after seeing this one. 🔮🐒

‘Stay Gold’ – The Outsiders
Okay, we lied. There are a few, and only a few, songs from the new musical available to stream now. That includes ‘Stay Gold,’ ‘Great Expectations,’ and ‘Soda’s Letter.’ Listen to them all on Spotify. Right now, our favorite is ‘Stay Gold,’ but can we really pick a favorite? No, we cannot. ‘Soda’s Letter’ makes us cry and makes us want to buy our front-row seat immediately. Honeybee meet-up in NYC? 🚕
The new music is written by Jamestown Revival and Justin Levine and we are so excited to hear the rest of the soundtrack. The show will be performed at Bernard B. Jones Theatre with opening night set for April 11. We hope to get to New York next month to see it with our own eyes!

‘Put Your Mind To It’ – Back To The Future
A musical that took us by surprise is Back To The Future, and we think it’s one to watch! ⚡🚗 If you love the original 1985 film, you’ll love this new adaptation and appreciate all the ways it honors the film. The music is playful and goofy, just like the characters. Listen to ‘Put Your Mind To It’ and drop a comment on your thoughts!

‘Turn It Off’ – The Book Of Mormon
This soundtrack makes us laugh out loud! Each song is hilarious and seeing it onstage with choreography makes it even better. ‘Turn It Off’ was our favorite part! Each member of this cast is so talented, and we love watching Josh Gad shine “like a light switch!” 💡

‘Dear Theodosia’ – Hamilton
Yes, Hamilton is still on Broadway, but there’s a good reason why. 🪶 It’s the musical that everyone loves because it goes incredibly hard for 2.5 hours. It’s hard to narrow down our favorite songs, but ‘Dear Theodosia’ sits high on that list. Honestly, any song with or about Aaron Burr is our favorite. We know talent when we hear it!

‘All You Wanna Do’ – Six
Six reasons why we love Six? 👑 The costumes are stunning. The songs will get you up and dancing. The story is innovative and exciting. We always love a good historical retelling. Strong female performers make us swoon. And ‘All You Wanna Do’ is impossible not to sing. Haven’t listened to Six all the way through yet? This is your sign.

‘Ease On Down The Road #1’ – The Wiz
Easing into the world of musical theater? Try listening to The Wiz, one of the greatest Wizard of Oz re-imaginings ever made. 🧺🌹 For music lovers, you’ll have no problem falling in love with this soundtrack because Michael Jackson and Diana Ross are two voices impossible not to ignore, especially when they are singing together.
