Arden Jones knows that, and that’s why he has dropped age tape 13, a new release that has us completely obsessed with his storytelling! Looking Back And Blossoming With ‘not this time’
The opening track of age tape 13 gives us a look into Arden’s past and how he’s focused on moving forward with his future. ‘not this time’ gives us that bittersweet thought of wanting to keep evolving but also stopping to smell the roses and slow down once in a while. We thought that this song is so relatable, and we’re so happy it greets us to this 3-song project. Who can resist lines like “growing up had been chasing me, I got too far from the sun” and “party seems to slow down as we’re growing up?” Arden is a very special songwriter!
‘i’m fine i’m great’ Asks Us How We Really Are
When you’re going through a rough time, answering the innocent question of “how are you doing?” can be incredibly hard sometimes. How do you respond when you have a million things in your head? Arden knows how tricky this can be with ‘i’m fine i’m great.’ This song has a different rhythm than ‘not this time.’ We think the guitar and the drums in the instrumental fit the intention of the track like a glove. Not only that, but some verses in this track are complete chef’s kiss, like the second one from the chorus: “They gon’ ask how you holding up, I’m ’bout to break, ain’t a thing that they’d understand so you don’t even try to explain.” It has quickly become one of our favorite Arden tracks!
Crushing On Someone? ‘might be love’ Is The Track For You!
Young love can be a rollercoaster. Going back and forth with your potential partner makes you feel so many types of feelings, and Arden helps us to find a soundtrack about those emotions with ‘might be love.’ How can our hearts grow fonder when we’re apart but confusing when we’re together? This track gives us a summer-y vibe with its acoustic feel and the sparkle-like production beats. Plus, the verses are as real as life can get! We felt “we should talk ’bout sh*t we dance around, we had it all on lock, where do we go now?” with our entire chest!

age tape 13 is so great, and we know it will sound even better with the rest of Arden’s discography when he performs it live this May! He will be going around the US on his headline tour while also opening for BoyWithUke, and we are so pumped to see his performances.
