Our first audiobook rec of the month is Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland’s Blood & Fury! This book is the conclusion to the Chaos & Flame duology and picks up only months after book one, when Darling Seabreak awakened as the Phoenix Reborn. She must now unite the other House regents if she wants a chance of ending the decades-long House Wars. We’re in love with this series’ magic system and everyone’s newly gained powers, or boons. Not to mention the romance and alternating points of view between Darling and the War Prince Talon.

You may remember her first novel, Caught in a Bad Fauxmance, which released last December. 10 Things I Hate About Prom exceeded all our rom-com expectations! A Crane Among Wolves By June Hur
We’re wrapping up our list of May audiobooks with an AAPI read: June Hur’s latest novel, A Crane Among Wolves, set in 1506 Joseon. The people have long suffered under the tyrant King Yeonsan, known for kidnapping and abusing women and girls. When 17-year-old Iseul’s older sister becomes the king’s latest victim, she sets out for the capital to bring her sister back. But she soon becomes a key factor in Prince Daehyun’s plans to dethrone his half-brother the king. A dark and devastating true story told in Iseul and Prince Daehyun’s perspectives, we got pulled in and couldn’t stop listening to A Crane Among Wolves.
