Happy Right Place, Wrong Person release week to all those who celebrate! We couldn’t be more excited for the release of RM’s second album if we tried! From the pre-release single ‘Come back to me’ to the concept photos to the tracklist, every single thing about this comeback is getting us hyped.
And speaking of the tracklist, Namjoon has revealed a stacked list of collaborators in the eleven-track outline. There are no diamonds in the rough here, only diamonds among more diamonds! Exploring jazz to rap and so many more genres, it’s already abundantly clear that Right Place, Wrong Person will be a limitless album from RM. The list of collaborators and teammates is so impressive, that we felt it necessary to break it down for you!

Little Simz
First up is Mercury Prize-winning British rapper Little Simz! You might know her from her iconic ‘Venom’ rap, or working with Emma Corrin on the Sometimes I Might Be Introvert masterpiece. Little Simz features on Right Place, Wrong Person track ‘Domodachi,’ which ARMY has already deduced is likely a combination of two Japanese words – “Domo” meaning thank you, and “Tomodachi” meaning friend.
Little Simz’s work is often equal parts ethereal and lethal, which just makes her the perfect collaboration for RM on Right Place, Wrong Person!
DOMi & JD BECK
From the rap of North London to the jazz of America! Alongside RM, ‘? (Interlude)’ has the magic touch of American jazz duo DOMi & JD BECK. The pair have worked with the best of the best in hip-hop, pop, and jazz, including Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, Busta Rhymes, Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg, and so, so many more. Doesn’t it just make total sense for RM to be next in that list of names? With their stacked jazz catalog, we can’t wait to see what they bring to Right Place, Wrong Person!

Kim Hanjoo
Next up is Right Place, Wrong Person‘s title track! ‘Lost!’ was co-produced by Kim Hanjoo, who you might know from South Korean band Silica Gel. The award-winning rock band is arguably best known for their use of VJing. And if you don’t know what VJing is (we’ll admit we didn’t), it’s essentially the combination of visuals and DJing. It involves the live combination and mixing of imagery, the same way a DJ manipulates sound. Their explorations of VJing make performance an essential part of what Silica Gel does. And considering that Kim Hanjoo worked on RPWP‘s title track, we’re already wondering if this will influence its music video and visuals!
Moses Sumney
We’ve reached the second official collaboration on Right Place, Wrong Person! American singer-songwriter Moses Sumney has lent his skills to ‘Around the world in a day.’ Moses has opened for the likes of Solange Knowles, James Blake, and Sufjan Stevens, so Namjoon is in good company! Moses also originally began songwriting in acapella, and with RM being as much of a poet as he is a musician, we’re so intrigued by how this will impact ‘Around the world in a day!’

JNKYRD, Kuo, OHHYUK, And San Yawn
Last, but definitely not least, is Right Place, Wrong Person‘s pre-release track! We’ve already spoken about how much we adore ‘Come back to me,’ but we’ll take any excuse to do it again. The rich list of teammates on Right Place, Wrong Person is never more opulent than on this song. ‘Come back to me,’ has writing credits from Namjoon, as well as San Yawn from Balming Tiger and songwriter JNKYRD, who also often collaborates with Balming Tiger.
Kuo from Taiwanese Jazz-synth-pop group Sunset Rollercoaster (who have also covered ‘Come back to me’ on YouTube) contributed on guitar and bass. Lastly, RM worked with OHHYUK from South Korean band HYUKOH on composition and arrangement. OHHYUK has worked with iconic names like Epik High and Peggy Gou, and has also previously collaborated with the aforementioned Sunset Rollercoaster! HYUKOH is known for their attention to detail across all aspects of their music, from their aesthetics to their music videos. Sounds like another artist we know…
Of course, there are likely even more names where these came from! These are all the collaborators and teammates that were announced alongside the Right Place, Wrong Person tracklist, but the credits will probably be even more extensive once the album is here! Will we see long-term BTS team members like PDogg, Supreme Boi, or El Capitxn? Or some more surprises?
Which collaboration are you most excited about on RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person? Which tracks have you already claimed? Let us know in the comments below, or tell us over on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
