Paige Bea, the London-based singer-producer, has made her return with her latest single ‘Worth It,’ along with announcing her new EP Flutters, set to be released on the 17th of July. All these news feel like a mid-year Christmas. We all know Paige Bea, and we all adore Paige Bea. But, if this is your first introduction to her (you’re welcome), we’re here to reveal why stanning Paige Bea is totally ‘Worth It.’ We’d say excuse the pun, but we’re quite proud of it! Of course, we’re here to gush about her latest single, give you a sneak peek into the upcoming EP, and talk about how Paige leads a new feminist voice in a modern generation of female musicians.

Number One, She’s Just Released A Great New Single, ‘Worth It.’
Paige Bea’s new track, ‘Worth It,’ is a dark feminist ode to the frustrating point of starting a relationship. It’s all about not knowing where you stand but knowing who you are and what you want. The song carries her characteristically direct tone, where she boldly asks the questions we’re all intimidated to voice. This frankness, paired with the avant-garde experimental production, creates her unique sound that sits between the likes of Charlie xcx and Shygirl. In fact, ‘Worth It’ could easily fit into Rihanna’s 2016 ANTI album, and that says it all!
Number Two, She’s Making A Feminist Statement
In a press release, Paige Bea shared that she was thinking a lot about the expectations of women in relationships when making this new track. Often, women are perceived as peacemakers, homemakers, or mothers, and we can see this frustration through lyrics like “I’m not here to convince and coerce, make things nice then give birth, I’m a difficult person.”
She also shared, “I think our generation has this tendency to think that because they are grown and therapies, it means we can micro-manage all our relationships and behaviours and I’m far too impulsive for that.” It’s the matter-of-fact lyrics, great beat, and confidence to speak up about women wanting to have fun and live impulsively that make us love her artistry even more.
Number Three, Paige Is An Artist Of The Future
When talking about Paige Bea, we have to talk about the ‘Worth It’ cover art, the second in a three-part collaboration with Greek digital artist Chloe Karnezis. All three covers feature Paige as a meta-human, created through an impressive process involving 3D scanning Paige’s face and digital manipulation. For this installment of futuristic artwork, the red, water-like visuals represent birth and the genesis of love. We don’t know about you, but we adore it when artists extend their creative flair across the visuals of their music, including the album artwork.

With her new EP Flutters set to release on the 17th of July, we’re anticipating even more reasons to support Paige Bea. The new project will feature three songs: ‘Floods,’ ‘Worth It,’ and ‘Flutters.’ So, if you haven’t yet called for Paige Bea’s unique sound and powerful messages, now is the perfect time. She’s bold, and she’s brilliant!
