The singer has been teasing the track all over her Instagram and TikTok so we are so stoked that it’s finally here!
‘70’s Baby’ is unique in the fact that it is told through the lens of a modern day Carrie Bradshaw, but still manages to let Izzy Mahoubi’s unique storytelling shine through. The folkloric song takes the groupie narrative and portrays it in a more sarcastic fashion. Lyrics such as, “I listen to you like you’re God / The Devil dresses for the part / Dirty hair and a steel guitar” and “I’m not in love / You’re just a man / But I look pretty with the band” deglamorize this lifestyle completely.
