Unexpected collaborations in the music world are what we live for. There have been so many iconic duos over the past decade, that it’s hard to live up to the expectations already set. However, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have seemed to break through that wall, creating their own level of unexpectedness with their latest release, ‘Die With A Smile.’
The two highly decorated musicians have never worked together before, so this song is even more special to use in the hive!

Naturally, as fans theorized, the song is a love ballad – something that both Gaga and Mars are known for. Put them both together harmonizing on the same song? It’s smooth as butter and a beautiful sense to our ears. We just know this collaboration is going to take over the GRAMMY’s next year! “Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating. I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision is next level. There’s no one like him.”

We theorize that ‘Die With A Smile’ will be in the new Joker: Folie à Deux film, which stars Lady Gaga herself as the character Harley Quinn. There has yet to be a release date for the highly anticipated comic-come-to-life, but we are so excited to be seated with popcorn in hand to watch Lady Gaga nail another on-screen performance!
