It’s our favorite time of the week again! We are back with the best of what is new in music! We have the new Dean Lewis album, the new Alessia Cara track, and so much more! Let’s jump in!
Kelsea Ballerini – ‘First Rodeo’
Everyone stay calm! We have officially arrived at our last taste of PATTERNS before the album release! ‘First Rodeo’ marks the fourth song we’ve gotten as a piece of PATTERNS. It has us so incredibly pumped for this record because it feels like each of these tracks, while having some invisible strings to tie them together, feel like they can stand on their own and have their unique sound.
We can’t wait to scream the words to this track when we (*fingers crossed*) see Kelsea perform live for this album cycle!

Dean Lewis – The Epilogue
Leave it to Dean Lewis to have us speechless after an album. Truly, The Epilogue is made up of some of the most beautiful lyricism and vocals we have heard in a long time. Each song had us further realizing that Dean is beyond deserving of all of his flowers when it comes to making a record that evokes honest emotion out of the listener. We went on a complete emotional journey from beginning to end.
‘All Your Lies’ is our favorite track of the bunch.

Gracie Abrams – The Secret of Us (Deluxe)
‘That’s So True’ is Gracie’s magnum opus in our opinion. We can’t believe this song ended up on a deluxe album and not the standard album. It feels borderline criminal. This song has completely taken over our FYPs, and it seems like the world is falling in love with this track right along with us. This may be our favorite deluxe record of the year so far.

Hunter Hayes – ‘Still Fallin’
We could spend hours telling you guys how much it warms our hearts to hear Hunter Hayes songs we already loved so much to be reimagined in this way. It’s quite remarkable that Hunter is able to pay homage to the past, while still making the song feel brand new in a way. We were lucky enough to get to chat with Hunter about this process (which you can read here!). And still, we sit here blown away. We can’t wait to see how these reimagined songs weave their way into the themes of Hunter’s upcoming album, Evergreen.

Wallows – ‘BAD DREAM’
Speaking of reimagined songs, ‘BAD DREAM’ takes the track that we already loved off of Model. They made the backing track a bit louder and a bit heavier and completely changed the dynamic of the track. We got major Bleachers vibes from this reimagined version of ‘BAD DREAM,’ which couldn’t be a higher compliment.

Olivia O’Brien – ‘all the time’
Olivia O’Brien is truly on a streak of making the best, and most emotionally damaging music of her career. She’s able to do something that is very rare, which is to be so specific to her own experiences while staying relatable to the listener. ‘all the time’ does that beautifully.

Alessia Cara – ‘(Isn’t It) Obvious’
Alessia Cara is officially back! Returning with her first song since 2021 and ahead of her upcoming album release, ‘(Isn’t It) Obvious’ is a slam dunk of a return. This track showcases the experimental pop music Alessia is known for still at play, while also showing that artistic growth has definitely taken place. We can’t wait to see what Alessia has in store for us (and other huge fans) with this album rollout!

Riley Roth – ‘Give Me Away’
Well, we are sobbing, thank you, Riley Roth! This track is such a beautiful love letter to a parent and such a testament to the magic that can come from being a songwriter as well as a singer. The emotional punches just hit a bit harder when they are this personal.
