After touring worldwide, Bogotá, Colombia, was the last stop on Niall Horan’s The Show Live on Tour. We have to say that the Lovers, the name of Niall’s fans, had the time of their lives with this tour. Niall performed songs from Flicker, Heartbreak Weather, and his latest album, The Show. He was the protagonist of the night, but the fans, who were almost all wearing bows in their hair, stole the show.
Colombia is known throughout the concert industry for having some of the loudest fans in the world, and Niall’s concert was no exception. With fan projects that include making the Ireland flag with LED candles and the longest ovation of the whole tour, Niall was ecstatic to perform for the fans who saw him for the first time ten years ago with One Direction. He even said that the crowd was the loudest he heard on the whole tour! Believe us when we say that after going to a concert in Colombia, your perception of being loud and passionate will change.
How The Night Went
But, let’s recap the night and walk you through the excitement! The concert took place at the Movistar Arena with the Colombian duo Maca & Gero opening. They gave a wonderful set, and everyone was singing and dancing along to their songs. We highly recommend their music even if you don’t know Spanish. But back to Niall, when Fleetwood Mac’s ‘The Chain’ started playing, everyone went crazy. And as the lights went out, the fans were ready to scream their souls out.
The setlist was a trip down the different Niall eras, with songs like ‘Slow Hands’ and ‘This Town’ from Flicker, his debut album. He also sang various tracks from Heartbreak Weather, including ‘Small Talk’ and ‘Black and White.’ Someone proposed to their partner during the latter, and it was the cutest thing ever — a scene out of a rom-com! Finally, he performed most of The Show, but ‘Meltdown’ and ‘Must Be Love’ were particularly amazing. Colombian fans were eagerly waiting to hear this last song and spent the whole day before the concert streaming it on Apple Music, to the point where it went number one in the local charts. Of course, we can’t forget how everyone turned into their inner Directioners when he sang ‘Night Changes,’ like time hadn’t passed.
Highlights Of The Show
Niall spoke in Spanish on more than one occasion, encouraging all the fans to scream as loud as they could and have the time of their lives. And they didn’t disappoint, because how could they? They waited 10 years— some fans even more — to see him perform. Niall also talked about how excited he was to return to the country and how he missed the Colombian fans. He was grateful for the support and the energy that the crowd was giving to make the last show special. He even thanked students for being there because the concert was on a Wednesday, in the middle of the school week! A big shout-out to Niall, who understands how hard it is to be a student and a fan.
The concert had various different sets, which made it even more fun. In the first set, Niall played cheerful songs like ‘On The Loose’. Then he played an acoustic set with his band, making the perfect emotional highlight of the night. We have to say that Niall’s band slayed the whole show and played a marvelous concert. This will last forever in the memories of those who heard them play live!
Niall’s Future After The Tour
The saddest part of the night? Niall said he would disappear for a while, which is understandable because he just played a sold-out tour. But we have to be honest, we are going to miss him a lot, and we hope to see him back on stage pretty soon. We are sure that even if it takes another ten years, Colombian fans will wait for Niall with arms wide open.
