Get in, loser; we’re going for a ‘JOYRIDE.’ Our pop princess mother Kesha finally released the music video for ‘JOYRIDE,’ which we’ve been begging on our hands and knees for since the song dropped earlier this year. To no one’s surprise, the music video is utter perfection, and it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite visuals of 2024.
To celebrate the new video, we’re going back in time and revealing our favorite Kesha lyrics that make us want to jump in a vintage car and speed down the highway…

Well, yes! Arguably one of the most iconic lyrics from Kesha’s latest hit, ‘JOYRIDE.’ What makes it even more iconic? The official music video just dropped! We love seeing Kesha’s artistry grow with each new musical era she enters. To be honest, this may be our favorite thus far, and we are utterly obsessed with the new music video and we’ll probably be streaming ‘JOYRIDE’ for the rest of our lives. Oops?

We simply had to include another lyric from ‘JOYRIDE’ on this list. This lyric makes us think that Regina George and Kesha should link up for an epic mean-girl pop song—what could be more iconic?
“If you’re one of us then roll with us” From ‘We R Who We R’
We have to start this off with a bang! ‘We R Who We R’ was our favorite Kesha song growing up and the music video lives rent-free in our minds. If you’re a weirdo or feel out of place, then you’ve come to the right place! Kesha’s music has always made us feel welcome, and we know we’ll always be rollin’ with her!
“We’re pretty and sick we’re young and we’re bored” From ‘Blow’
TThe day this song came out was the day we became full-time Kesha stans! ‘Blow’ will live on in history as one of Kesha’s best songs, with this lyric being one of her best. We know the honeybees are pretty and young! Only hot people are welcome here…
“I’m getting ready, mani-pedi, fancy shit with the leathers” From ‘Tonight’
‘Tonight’ is one of those Kesha songs that may have gone under your radar, but it certainly lives on as one of our favorites here in the hive. Growing up, Kesha inspired us to be expressive, which included getting fun mani-pedis full of bright colors and glitter! No one could tell us we didn’t look absolutely amazing. We know you’ll feel confident listening to this Kesha hit!
“Singin’ my song, singin’ along/Tik Tok b***h ‘til the kingdom come” From ‘Springbreakers featuring Kesha’
Speaking of iconic collaboration, When Charli xcx announced that Kesha would be on brat’s remix album, we about fell out of our chairs. To say that this remix is one of our favorites from the album would be an understatement. No one parties like Charli and Kesha!
“You should be prowling around the old folks home, Come on, dude, Leave us alone” From ‘Dinosaur’
You knew this lyric would be on this list! We love Kesha’s humor and how she incorporates it into her music, and ‘Dinosaur’ is a perfect example of that. Anytime we need a good laugh or a good song to make us feel like bad-ass women, we throw on ‘Dinosaur’ and the rest of the Animal album.
“I’m proud of who I am/No more monsters, I can breathe again” From ‘Praying’
Even though this song makes us cry, it empowers us to get up and change our lives for the better! ‘Praying’ inspires us to break free from our inner monsters and find what makes us happy. We remember when this song came out, and it literally changed our lives. Do you remember where you were when Kesha released ‘Praying?’
“But they won’t break my spirit, I won’t let ’em win/I’ll just keep on living, keep on living, oh/The way I wanna live” From ‘Bastards’
Another inspiring track from Kesha, ‘Bastards’ gives us all the self-confidence we need. Simply put, don’t let the bastards get you down, and keep going on chasing your dreams!
“Zip your lip like a padlock/And meet me in the back with the Jack at the jukebox” From ‘Blah Blah Blah’
When we find ourselves surrounded by annoying people, we blast this song and walk away. Kesha always keeps it real and ‘Blah Blah Blah’ is that song!
