Here at THP, we have our fair share of games we love to indulge in during our spare time. One of those titles is the highly popular Honkai: Star Rail, and we are here to hype up its upcoming update, Version 2.7.
If you are a fan of the game, be it casual or highly invested, or if you’re simply looking to see if the time to finally try out HSR has arrived, you’re at the right place. With its regular updates, filled with new content and characters, there’s always something to look forward to in Honkai: Star Rail. After the reveal of the teaser for Version 2.7—A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn—we have been counting down the days for its official release. While we wait, we wanted to highlight some of the upcoming content that we are absolutely excited to see, and we know you would be, too.
New Character Banners (And Reruns)
Probably one of the most, if not the most, anticipated updates with each version: the character banners. For the final act, before we step into Version 3.0, we are presented with two characters who we’ve waited to get their own banners for a while. First off (and first half) will give us the chance to pull for the 5-star Imaginary character Sunday, who follows the path of Harmony. His kit offers quite the support and will be highly effective in teams with summons. A perfect current example is General Jing Yuan, who, surprise, will be alongside Sunday during the first half of the banners. He’s still a highly good DPS for your team, and it looks like these two might work pretty well on the same team. But as we look into the near future of Honkai: Star Rail, Sunday might be the puzzle piece that will boost our experience.
Meanwhile, the second half of the banners gives us the gorgeous 5-star version of the foxian Tingyun, now going under a new name: Fugue. A Fire character following the path of Nihility, she still holds the role of support on the team, but from the looks of it, we will be in for a treat. From her kit to her absolutely stunning animations, she’s definitely on our wishlist. Also in the second half, we’ll get Firefly’s rerun, another powerful DPS that will make your gameplay so much easier. So, if you missed either of the rerun characters or if you wish to go for any of the new ones, HSR Version 2.7 might just be the one for you.
Cosmic Home Décor Guide
We love new features, and Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7 is introducing one! In the form of an event called Cosmic Home Décor Guide, we will be able to make the Astral Express feel even more like home. How? Well, the event will allow us to decorate an empty room and make it our own. Are you excited to collect furniture and put your own touch in the perfect Trailblazer room? Also, we are eyeing that new Pom-Pom outfit👀
Gift of the Express
We are so hyped over this specific gift that Honkai: Star Rail is presenting to us. And just on time for an early Christmas treat. By obtaining Gift of the Express, starting from Version 2.7 and until the end of Version 3.2, we’ll be able to select a free, we repeat, one FREE regular 5-star character. So, if there is someone you have been wanting to get or hoping to add to their Eidolon, this will be your chance! We are already going through our options and trying to make our pick. Who will be the chosen one?
Preparing For Version 3.0
The final reason for our excitement is that right after Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7, we’ll be venturing into a whole new realm filled with new, thrilling adventures. And from the trailer, ‘Amphoreus’ Saga of Heroes, we simply can’t stress enough just how psyched we are. From the drip marketing for Version 3.0, we already have a good look at the design of one of the Amphoreus’ characters, Aglaea. Giving us godly vibes, we can’t wait to see what she and the rest of the upcoming crew have to offer for our teams.
We can’t miss mentioning that 3.0 will also bring us a whole new path as well, that of Remembrance. And here’s how that fits with Version 2.7. Characters following the path of Remembrance will have special summons. And we are just about to get a character who works well with those. Are you doing the math? Yes, it looks like Sunday might just be the right support for the yet to be released path’s followers. You can bet we’ll make the most out of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7, not only to enjoy all of its content but also to properly start preparing for the new maps, characters, and combat mechanics.
