It’s been three years since we first sat down with one of our favorite alternative bands, little image. Then, they were reeling over the excitement of their latest drop, ‘BLUE,’ and their tour with Colony House. Now, it’s 2025, and things have changed. New songs and music videos have been released, and the band has gained more streams than ever. On their way to stardom, we had to grab them for another interview.
Jack, Brandon, and Troy recently announced a new song and two upcoming tours, so you know we had to welcome them back into the hive for another chat!

WELCOME BACK, LITTLE IMAGE
Welcome back to the Honey POP! Jack, Troy, and Brandon. We’re so glad to be chatting with you a second time. Since we last spoke in 2022 about the release of ‘BLUE,’ so much has happened. What was the biggest musical highlight of 2024?
Jack: So good to chat with you guys again, thanks so much for having us back! I think the biggest highlight we’ve had since then is having a song go number 1 at radio. Pretty surreal moment for sure.
You three met each other over the internet when you were in high school. For each of you, what was your first impression of each other and each other’s music?
Jack: We were all pretty in awe of each other; it’s rare to find 1, much less 2, dudes you gel with so naturally. We were all pretty big fans of each other’s other projects we were making in high school and were all obsessed with coffee and music gear. We’re really just a bunch of nerds who could talk about gear for hours. The first impression I think was definitely just the realization that we were gonna be homies for forever now.
‘THE PRESSURE’
Your new song, ‘THE PRESSURE,’ has been replaying in our minds since it was released on January 17. The theme of fighting societal pressures by yourself is something we know all too well. How do you fight through moments of extreme anxiety and pressure?
Jack: Such a great question. This is honestly something I dealt with a lot in the past year. This stuff is real; a big way I fight it is to discuss it. I can go into fight or flight very quickly, so being realistic and gracious with the process is key for me. It seems to come out of nowhere, so I’ve been learning how to deal with it when it comes up. It takes some navigating to say the least.
Here in the hive, we love a good visual, and yours are some of our favorites. What happens when each of you has differing visions for a music video or other visual?
Jack: The coolest thing to me is that the music videos are where we find the most common ground together. Like any band, there are moments of disagreement in the studio and on creative things, but when it comes to music videos, I feel like we have so much faith in our director (Sawyer Skipper) that we all can sort of sit back and just enjoy what we’re making. It’s good for us; we’re all very passionate people who have opinions, and I think it’s beautiful that we are all just so on the same page when it comes to the videos.
Our favorite lyric from ‘THE PRESSURE’ is “I can’t catch a break, if I’m not wide awake, nobody seems to care.” By the end of listening to this song, what do you hope first-time listeners take away from these intimate lyrics?
With any song, we want people to feel heard. Everyone’s just trying to be understood, and I feel like the concept of pressure is something most people can relate to in their own unique experiences. There is always hope.
THE DIVE TOUR
You all are hitting the road! What do you hope to do differently on this tour than the last one?
Jack: Well, this is our first tour out of the United States, which I think will be an unreal experience for all of us. We’re taking one of our closest friends who’s run sound for us since we were 17, so it feels a little bit like a full circle moment to be leaving the country with the same crew we used to tour in Troy’s expedition with. We’re very into European architecture, so I think more than anything we’re just excited to be surrounded by new environments every day.
What’s the best thing about seeing your fans’ support IRL?
Jack: Oh man, it’s very hard to put into words, but more than anything, we’re just so grateful. It’s pretty surreal when people show up for what you believe in and what you’ve put so much work into. We’ve always wanted to have a community of kindness around what we do, and everyone who comes to a little image show seems to show nothing but kindness towards us and the other people in the room.
Thanks again for chatting with us. To send us off, are there any setlist secrets you can spill for our readers?
Jack: Well you can expect to hear ‘THE PRESSURE’ obviously, maybe we’ll throw in a couple new unreleased ones too just for fun, who knows? Thanks so much for having me.
